It is not the work that is pushing you out. It is the leadership. The culture. The people who were supposed to create the conditions for you to thrive and instead created the exact conditions that are making you consider walking away from something you genuinely love.

And that distinction matters more than most people realize.

Because if you leave believing you lost your passion you will carry that story into everything that comes next. You will second guess every new opportunity. Wonder if you will burn out again. Question whether you were ever as committed as you thought. Build walls around your enthusiasm because the last time you gave it fully somewhere it cost you everything.

But if you leave understanding that the passion is intact and the environment was the problem you walk out with something entirely different. Clarity. Direction. The ability to identify what conditions you actually need to thrive and the confidence to require them in whatever comes next.

You do not need a new career. You need a new environment.

One where leadership actually leads. Where the culture supports the work instead of suffocating it. Where the people responsible for your growth are actually invested in it rather than threatened by it. Where showing up fully is celebrated rather than managed down.

That environment exists. And you deserve to find it without spending years grieving a passion that was never actually gone.

The work still deserves you. This place just doesn’t.

Find you’re done questioning whether you can continue doing work you still love and are ready to either find somewhere worthy of that love, or impact the conditions at your current workplace so you don’t have to leave, comment HEALING. I’ll help you identify how to get there!

Standards do not mean anything in a workplace where favoritism decides who actually has to follow them and who gets to do whatever they want with zero consequences.

And once you see this clearly you cannot unsee it.

You watched someone get a documented warning for being five minutes late to a meeting. And you watched someone else miss deadlines, mishandle clients, and speak to people in ways that should have triggered a serious conversation. And nothing happened. Not a meeting. Not a note in a file. Not even a raised eyebrow.

Because the standard was never actually about the behavior. It was about who the behavior belonged to.

If leadership likes you the rules bend. If they do not the rules become the entire conversation. Suddenly your tone matters. Your delivery matters. The way you phrased something three weeks ago becomes a topic of discussion while someone else’s actual misconduct becomes something everyone quietly agreed not to mention.

This is not a policy failure. This is the policy. The written rules exist for show. The unwritten ones, the ones based on who leadership is comfortable with and who they are not, are the ones that actually get enforced.

And once you understand that you stop wasting energy trying to be the exception. You start understanding that no amount of doing everything right will protect you in a system where the rules were never the point.

Comment HEALING if you’re ready to start feeling empowered to reclaiming the course of your career instead of allowing everyone else determine where you go next and not your performance.

You know you have outgrown this job. You can feel it. But the exhaustion that comes from surviving it has taken the very thing you need to figure out what comes next. That is not a career problem. That is a nervous system problem.

And there is a profound difference between those two things.

A career problem gets solved with a resume update and a job search. A nervous system problem gets solved with regulation. With safety. With slowly giving your body permission to stop running the survival protocols it has been running for months or years inside an environment that required constant vigilance just to function.

You are not stuck because you lack ambition. You are stuck because your nervous system is using every available resource to keep you functional in a place that should never have required this much of your resources in the first place.

When the nervous system finally gets to regulate what happens is not just emotional relief. Cognitive clarity returns. The ability to imagine a future beyond the current circumstances comes back. The version of you that has opinions and dreams and a sense of what she is moving toward starts to become accessible again.

You have not lost your direction. Your direction has been temporarily inaccessible because survival took over the whole system.

Comment HEALING if you’re ready to reclaim control over your career path by healing your nervous system and finally find your way forward. I’ll be there with you!

50,000 of us.

I have to sit with that for a second because it genuinely means everything to me. Not because of the number. Because of what the number represents.

50,000 people who found this page and felt something. Whether you have lived this personally or watched it happen to someone you love you recognized the truth in it. You saw yourself or someone you care about in these words and you stayed.

That is not a following. That is a community. And there is a profound difference.

What we have built here is a space where the confusion gets replaced with clarity. Where what happened to you finally gets named for what it actually was. Where high achieving women stop questioning their own reality and start understanding that the damage was real and it deserves real healing.

I am honored that you are here. That you trust this space. That together we are dismantling toxic workplace dynamics and rebuilding ourselves from the inside out.

But awareness alone does not create change. And reading about healing is not the same as actually doing it.

Stop waiting for the workplace to change. Stop waiting to feel ready. The right support is available and ready to impact the conditions for YOU to succeed.

If you are ready to stop surviving and start healing comment HEALING below. The next step is yours and I will be right there with you.

Thank you for being here. All 50,000 of us. 🧡

7 ways to survive your toxic workplace when you are not ready to leave but you are running out of capacity to stay.

Because survival mode is not a long term strategy. And if you are going to stay while you figure out your next move you need more than just white knuckling your way through each week.

One. Separate your identity from your job title. What they think of you at that company is not a verdict on who you are. Start practicing that distinction now.

Two. Regulate your nervous system before and after work. Even five minutes. A walk. Breathing. Something that signals to your body that it is allowed to exist outside of threat mode.

Three. Stop trying to win in an unwinnable environment. You cannot out-perform a culture that has decided you are the problem. Redirect that energy toward your exit strategy.

Four. Protect one relationship at work that feels safe. Connection is a nervous system regulator. Even one person who sees you clearly makes the environment more survivable.

Five. Create a clear line between work time and your time. Not perfectly. But intentionally. Your nervous system needs to learn that not all of life is the toxic workplace.

Six. Build financial runway if at all possible. Even small amounts. Options create psychological safety. Knowing you have a cushion changes how trapped you feel.

Seven. Treat yourself like someone worth protecting. Because you are. And the choices you make right now about your energy your boundaries and your mental health will either deplete you further or preserve enough of you to make your next move from a place of clarity.

You deserve more than survival. Start building toward it now.

Comment HEALING if you’re trying to figure out how to survive your job if you can’t leave. Together we can create a plan to protect your sanity and help you feel empowered!
