Due to the potential storms open mats are cancelled for tonight. We will have open mats tomorrow night from 5:30-7:00pm. Anyone is welcome to join must have a USA wrestling card or an AAU wrestling card.

It was a great weekend of wrestling in Iowa at the Twin River National Duals!

Olivia Reyes and Averie Stephenson wrestled with Team Indiana AAU Progressive and both became individual All-Americans finishing 8-0. Outstanding weekend girls as you showed grit and determination while battling through some tough matches! We are very proud of you!

The progressive team coached by
Coach Culp and Coach Roe went 6-2, making it to the gold bracket today and placed 5th making them team All-Americans. 9 of the 12 girls (they gave up two forfeits) were double All-Americans and 3 girls went 8-0.

The All-Star team, coached by Coach and Mrs. Coach Younce, along with Coach Shepard finished the weekend 7-1, winning the silver bracket, placing 9th overall. There were 11 of the 16 girls (2 alternates) that were individual All-Americans and 3 girls went 8-0. Thank you Hailey for working the table and being there for your team, we are all ready to have you back on the mat!

Semi-state is not for the faint of heart. Emotions run high and wrestlers must be ready to compete at their highest level every second of every match. Both Keagan and Fabien stepped up and wrestled very well. In round one, Keagan was able to wrestle his way to an 18-12 victory. Fabien wrestled a very close match that came down to the wire. He went down giving it his all but fell just short in a 5-9 match to a sold West Noble state qualifier. In the ticket round, Keagan once again wrestled very well. He wrestled fearless and free. The match was packed full of action and excitement, with both wrestlers pushing their limits. Keagan came out on top of many hard scrambles but was not able to secure all the needed points against the Bluffton wrestler. Keagan may not have been able to come out of this match victorious but his final match was like watching him put an exclamation point on an already highlighted career.
