CAITLIN 1 “TEAM USA” PE 🇺🇸

Caitlin Clark is heading to her first FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup with two special Nike Caitlin 1 Team USA PEs. The complementary “Home” and “Away” looks dress her first signature model in patriotic colors: one pairs a white upper with red details and metallic red/navy Swooshes, while the other reverses the formula with a University Red upper, navy accents and white/navy branding. Both are finished with icy translucent outsoles and Clark’s interlocking CC logo on the tongue.

The timing makes them especially significant: Clark is officially part of the 12-player USA roster for the 2026 FIBA Women’s World Cup in Berlin, September 4–13, where Team USA will chase a fifth consecutive gold medal. For now, neither Team USA Caitlin 1 is scheduled for a retail release — they appear to be player exclusives made specifically for Clark.

🎓 Alumni Spotlight: Ryan Dye, Class of 2012

Ryan Dye continues to make a difference in the Marion community through his dedication to young athletes. Since joining the Marion Merchants in 2022, Ryan has coached both softball and baseball, building strong relationships with his players while teaching teamwork, accountability, perseverance, and what it means to be a great teammate.

His leadership goes far beyond the game. Ryan creates an environment where athletes feel supported, valued, and encouraged to believe in themselves, leaving a lasting impact on the players he coaches.

Thank you, Ryan, for continuing to represent MCS and giving back to the Marion community!

Shamrock Insurance began with a road trip, a love story, and a man who made Marion, Ohio his home.

Attorney Michael Sean Grimes came to Marion by way of a weekend road trip, but the visit changed the course of his life. A New Jersey native, Michael met Mary Anne Frericks, fell in love, married her in 1982, and built a life in Marion rooted in family, law, public service, community involvement, and lasting local relationships.

In 1987, Michael purchased McAndrew Insurance Agency, an independent agency that had served Marion since World War II. He renamed it Shamrock Insurance, carrying his Irish roots into a business he would lead for more than 30 years.

Today, his daughter Katie Grimes carries that legacy forward as the agency principal and owner of Shamrock Insurance Agency.

A Marion native, Harding High School graduate, and University of Notre Dame alumna, Katie spent years in education as a high school teacher in Chicago and later as a tenured theology professor at Villanova University.

After returning home, Katie followed her father into the insurance business. She managed both Shamrock Insurance and Herr Insurance Agency before purchasing both businesses and continuing Shamrock’s second-generation independent agency legacy.

Today, she leads Shamrock with an educator’s approach, helping clients understand their risks, compare their options, and choose coverage with confidence before life puts a policy to the test.
