The Coliseum Basketball Tip-Off Welcome to the Marion County high school preview event that will take place on Saturday November 12, 2022 at the Marion Coliseum. Doors will open at 9:30AM.

This pre-season basketball tip-off will preview both men's and women's varsity basketball teams.

Zed Key - Ohio State Buckeye star is pictured below signing a couple of his jerseys that will be given away Saturday at The Coliseum Basketball Tip-Off. Zed Key is expected to arrive Saturday around noon to draw a couple lucky winners from the crowd to receive his signed jersey and another lucky winner to have an opportunity to win a new car for the progressive shot contest!

This Saturday, November 12th is The Coliseum Basketball Tip-Off! Hoops are being loaded up for transport and basketball court will follow. Court side seats are sold out! The Coliseum Basketball Tip-Off is an all day event. Your ticket will grant you admission for the whole day. You will also receive a wristband that will allow you to leave the premises and come back later if needed. Tickets are sold for each seating section but not by the seat. See coliseum layout in picture.

Whether you can see yourself in a Dodge or a Chevy........ you are going to see someone have the opportunity to win a new car at The Coliseum Basketball Tip-Off ! There will be three different opportunities for random spectators to win a new vehicle from Mathews Dodge and there will also be three different opportunities for more random spectators to win a new vehicle from Chesrown Chevrolet. Every admission ticket purchased will be entered into a drawing to participate in a basketball shooting competition for a chance to win a new car. You must be present to win!

Congratulations to Katie Jordan from Pleasant Schools. She is the winner of The Coliseum Basketball Tip-Off art contest. Her artwork will be printed on the back cover of the sports program for the event on November 12. Pleasant High School will receive a $500 check towards their art program which was sponsored by Dan Barth - State Farm Insurance Agency. The check will be presented by State Farm to Katie and Pleasant Schools during the basketball event. Come out on November 12 and support all of the county student athletes. Purchase tickets at the door or in advance.

In just about two weeks, it will be game time for The Coliseum Basketball Tip-off ! We have a special treat for everyone this year. Our very own Marion County Hawks basketball team will be playing Wyandot County at 9:00am on Saturday November 12. The Marion County Hawks have had an unbelievable amount of success with capturing 16 state basketball championships! Come early and watch the Hawks play basketball at 9:00am. They will be followed by the high school teams that will start at 10:00am.
