Lake James Friday Night Tournament This is a tournament trail open to anyone who wishes to join and enjoy night fishing on Lake James May through October.

We fish out of Black Bear access so come have fun fishing with us!

What a way to end the Lake James 2026 Friday night tournaments with the top 5 finishers separated by a pound. Taking 1st place was Bryan and Grant with 12.16. Coming in a close 2nd was Wes and Hunter with 12.13. Jeff and Harold Strike again taking home 3rd place with 11.64 and big smallmouth of the night at 3.70. 4th place went to Anthony and Danny with 11.16 and rounding out the top 5 was George and Greg with 11.10 anchored by big largemouth of the night at 3.81. Thank you to all of our teams that fished this year and congrats to our winners. With the help of all of our teams and sponsors we had a payout of $9140.00 on championship night.

Tournament Information:

 Entry Fee is $40 per boat
 Paying top 5 places
 Big Largemouth and Big Smallmouth
 $60 Side Pot optional paying 2 places
 Hamburgers and Hot Dogs At 4:30
 Blast off in order of sign up.
 Fishing 6PM -2AM

Also paying.
 Top 5 in pounds for Year
 $500 Big bag of the year regular season
 $200 Big largemouth of year regular season
 $200 Big smallmouth of the year regular season
 Cash Drawing (For any team that does not place for yearly pounds or Championship)

It's championship time full info and updates and championship field will be posted this evening!! A strong finish to the 2026 regular Season, taking home first place was Darren Sigmon and Chase Howell with 12.46 anchored by big smallmouth of the night at 3.03. Coming in a close 2nd and still on a roll was Jeff and Harold Grindstaff with 12.03 and rounding out the top 3 was Kevin and Todd with 11.38. Big Largemouth went to Steve and Randy with a 3.64! Jeff and Harold Grindstaff have caught fire going back to back taking another win with 11.74. Great job Guys!! Second place went to Kevin and Todd with 11.59 and locking in third place with big largemouth of the night was Paul and Dennis with 11.0 and 4.05 largemouth, big smallmouth went to Dennis and Dale with a 3.25. A hot Friday night brought some good bags. 1st place went to Jeff and Harold Grindstaff bringing another solid bag of 12.31. Coming in a close 2nd was Anthony and Danny with another solid bag at 12.12, and rounding out the top 3 was Bryan and Grant with 11.23 anchored by big largemouth of the night at 2.66. Big Smallmouth went to Derek and Brandon with a 3.60.
