Some designs just don’t need reinvented. They need to be built right.
The American Knife Company MK2 is about as iconic as an American fighting knife gets. The original went to war in the 1940s, came home a legend, and more than 80 years later, that unmistakable profile still looks right at home.
So how do you improve on it without messing up what made it great in the first place?
You let Matt Martin of Vehement Knives take a crack at it.
Matt redrew the classic pattern, and American Knife Company brought it to life with CPM 3V steel, a beefier tang, and stacked Micarta in place of traditional stacked leather. You still get that old-school MK2 look, just built with materials that are ready for another 80 years.
They even finished it off with a premium American-made leather sheath, because putting this thing in anything else just wouldn’t feel right.
Old-school cool. Modern materials. Made in America. 🇺🇸

Three fresh colorways of the BergBlades® Mini Alpha are headed your way tomorrow, October 15th at 11AM CST!
The Mini Alpha takes everything that made the original Alpha such a fun Berg design and shrinks it down into a more pocket-friendly package. You still get that unmistakable chunky BergBlades look and feel, just in a size that makes a whole lot of sense for everyday carry.
And they certainly didn’t skimp on the good stuff.
Titanium handles. CPM-S90V steel. Multiple deployment methods. Front flip it, reverse flick it, whatever suits you. Half the fun is figuring out which way you’re going to open it next.
Green, Bronze, or Light Bead Blast... I’m not sure there’s a wrong answer here.
