Well folks, that’s a wrap.
After 5 unforgettable years of handcar and railbike tours in Marina, Handcar Tours has officially come to the end of the line at our location in Monterey. What started as a small dream grew into something truly special, and our family is beyond grateful for every single person who joined us on this ride.
From families out for adventure, to locals showing off their town, to visitors discovering the beauty of the Monterey Bay for the first time—you all made this journey worth it. The laughter, the effort on the pedals, the “we made it!” high-fives, and the countless smiles have been the heart of our business. Those memories will stay with us long after the tracks are quiet and have once again rusted over.
Thank you for believing in us, for sharing your joy, and for helping turn a wild idea into 5 years of community, fun, and connection. This chapter may be closing, but the friendships and experiences will always remain.
Although the business is going into hibernation, these cars will eventually ride the rails again, sometime in the future, somewhere else.
