I am currently one month into the start of my Muay Thai journey. Similar to boxing it involves striking. I came upon wanting to learn this because I felt like it’s a great way to work out my body and add a layer of self-defense into my character. Plus UFC makes this s**t look awesome to be able to do!
I’ve thoroughly been enjoying learning the knowledge Muay Thai has to offer! I am happy to announce I have obtained my Muay Thai certification via Muay Thai USA online. That means I can start training others (YOU!) in Muay Thai and I am willing to help anyone who has any questions about the topic too.
Week 1: I started with just getting to know the background and basics of Muay Thai and applying the striking work to the ends of my workouts.
Week 2: Gradually, I began to get excited with the content I had been learning and focused on refining my cross, jabs and hooks, and front kicks.
Week 3: This is when I completed my course and started adding in uppercuts, knees, and roundhouse kicks into my daily practice.
Week 4: The new year has just started and I am looking to continue building my skills with different techniques on my strikes. I’m starting to play around with more defense work such as slips, angles, and footwork.
