Marietta Aikido Center Founded in 2025, Marietta Aikido Center is led by Gifford Pace, a dedicated aikido practitioner and instructor with over twenty years of experience.

The dojo is built on a simple idea: training in aikido should develop strong technique, balanced character, and a clear mind. Rooted in traditional Japanese principles and guided by modern teaching methods, Marietta Aikido Center offers students a place to grow—on and off the mat—through discipline, respect, and the pursuit of harmony in motion.

I would like to thank Michael Goodman and his students of Aikido Association Atlanta - Keith Washington, Alex Gurevich, Justin Thompson, Sergey Miltsev, Jason Schneider, Janet Anderson, Steve Ressa, Greg Carras, Yumiko Furusawa, Stephanie Mann, Eugenia Hobbs, and Ed Monarchik, as well as my wife, Julie Harper Pace, for their participation and support in last night's inaugural class at Iron Dragon Martial Arts. This is not without saying that many others have been there for me during my aikido journey. Thank you all...you know what you've done and I am forever grateful.
