offers 20 years of experience in teaching Contemporary, Jazz, Modern, and Ballet to children and to the elderly. A native of Savannah, GA, he grew up with artistic influences from both his father, a painter and artist; and his mother, a dancer and dance instructor. He started acting at 11 years old in the film ”Glory.” He began studying acting and dancing at Savannah High. In college, he studied m
usic in the concert choir, under his late mentors the late Willie “Doc” Jackson, and the late Randy Duncan. While at Savannah State, he joined the Dance Ensemble under his mother, Loris Boyd, and traveled across the country dancing at various competitions, showcases and Superbowl # # during the opening and halftime. He training has been significantly influenced by various styles of dance including Katherine Dunham's style, Alvin Ailey's style, and modern, contemporary, ballet, jazz, and African dance. He currently teaches classes at Young Voices United in Marrietta, GA. He is the creative l director of Visionz Dance Company in Atlanta, GA where he has choreographed pieces and performed for diplomatic ambassadors and toured around the United States. His classes are unique because he believes in using dance to promote leadership and self-confidence and reinforce masculinity in the arts. His motto is, “Let all your life be music, so just dance!"
