The High School Football Playoffs have arrived and locally we had 5 of our area teams make the post season. This Friday we will be broadcasting 4 of the 5 for their first round matchups.

On WMOA AM 1490 FM 101.3 we will have the 13 seed Marietta Tigers as they hit the road and take on the 4 seed Jackson Ironmen. There will be no video stream for this game.

On Jaws Classic Country FM 100.9 we will have the 3 seed Fort Frye Cadets as they welcome in the 14 seed Tuscarawas Valley Trojans.

On ESPN Radio AM 630 FM 92.9 The 7 seed Waterford Wildcats will be at home as the 10 seed Miller Falcons.

Our Final matchup will be the 15 seed Morgan Raiders hitting the road to take on the 2 seed Sheridan Generals in a regular season rematch. This contest will be a streamed exclusively here on our page via Facebook Live.

All 4 games will have a pregame scheduled for 6:45 and Kickoffs set for 7:00. Marietta, Fort Frye, and Waterford can all be listened to using the WMOA App. Again the Morgan Raiders will be on Facebook. We also wish the Caldwell Redskins good look as they open up the playoffs against the Bridgeport Bulldogs from the Noble County Fairgrounds.

HIGH SCHOOL FOOTBALL IS BACK ON WMOA!!!!!!
Tonight we kick off the 2023 season with a the inaugural Twin State League Football Game as the Marietta High School Tigers take on the Fort Frye Football Cadets for the first time ever on the Gridiron. Aaron Cassady will have the call on WMOA AM 1490 FM 101.3

High School Football across the radio waves tonight
On WMOA The Marietta Tigers will hit the road into West Virginia as they take on the Ripley Vikings. Pregame 6:45 Kickoff 7:00.
On Jaws Classic Country we will be in the heart of Morgan County in McConnelsville as the Morgan Raiders take on Coshocton with a pregame set for 7:15 kickoff 7:30.
Last but not least we will have a Washington County Showdown as they Warren Warriors welcome in the Fort Frye Cadets into Vincent. Pregame set for 6:45 kickoff 7:00. You can also catch this game in its entirety on Jaws Classic Country immediately following the conclusion of the Morgan, Coshocton matchup.

Another High School Football Friday night around the radio ranch this evening.
Everything kicks off at 5:50 with the Zides High School Football Coaches Corner as your host Derek Jones speaks with our area coaches. Immediately following the Coaches Corner we will have games on all three of our stations.
On WMOA AM 1490 FM 101.3 the Marietta Tigers look to build on last week's win as they host the Claymont Mustangs.
On Jaws Classic Country FM 100.9 it’s a backyard brawl as the Waterford Wildcats take the 1-mile bus ride across the Muskingum River to go to battle with the Fort Frye Cadets in Beverly.
On ESPN Radio AM 630 FM 92.3 the Warren Warriors look to get back on track after dropping two in a row as they hit the road to take on the Logan Chieftains.

Big Night on the radio for our area high schools Marietta and Fort Frye as they both pick up wins.

The Tigers pick up their first win on the year as they came away with a 12-7 victory against Athens which came down the the wire. The tigers move to 1-2 on the year and will play host to Claymont High School.

The Fort Frye Cadets pick up a win over on Jaws Classic Country 100.9 as they defeat Zanesville 40-27. Cadets improve your 3-0 and will play host to the Waterford Wildcats next Friday.

Over on ESPN we had some MLB action as the Pittsburgh Pirates took on the Toronto Blue Jays. The pirates fell behind 2-0 in the fourth and was never able to bounce back as they drop the game 4-0. Overall the Pirates record drops to 49-82.

We have a busy night all around the radio ranch this evening.
Starting at 5:10 on WMOA AM 1490 FM 101.3 Johnny Wharff sits down with Marietta college Head football coach Andy Waddle to talk Pioneer football on “Inside The Huddle” as the Pioneers open up their 2022 Campaign tomorrow at home against The University of Dubuque.
Then at 5:30 on Jaws FM 100.9 and ESPN AM 630 FM 92.3 ONN’s Tonight in High School Football will be on the airways.
That will immediately be followed be the Zide’s High School Football Coaches Corner as we sit down with several area high school coaches and discuss their matchups this week.
As for our matchups on the radio tonight over on Jaws Classic Country the Fort Frye Cadets welcome in the Zanesville Blue Devils for their home opener. Chris Wharff and Ty Moore will be teaming up to bring you all the action tonight.
On WMOA The Marietta Tigers hit the road for the first time this fall as they travel to Athens to take on the Athens Bulldogs. Aaron Cassady and Billy Parks will have the call. Both of those have a scheduled pregame of 6:45 and 7:00 kickoffs.
