Ohio Valley Taekwondo Academy Grandmaster Kang has had a presence in the Parkersburg area since 1972.

Classes: Beginners: Monday and Thursday from 6:15-7:45 pm
Advanced: Tuesday from 6:15-7:45 pm

The Ohio Valley Taekwondo Academy is a traditional Moo Duk Kwan Taekwondo school under the direction of Grandmaster Sok Ho Kang, 9th degree black belt. Master Ben Rush, chief instructor and 7th degree black belt, opened Ohio Valley Taekwondo Academy in April 2011 in Sherry's Custom Fitne

ss in Vienna. Master Ben Rush started Taekwondo in 1985 under Master Chuck Hannah, Grandmaster Kang's association head instructor. Master Jared Stephens, 5th dan black belt, is Ohio Valley Taekwondo's assistant chief instructor, and he assists with the direction of class on a weekly basis, along with Master Ben Rush. Master Rush still pulls on Master Hannah's guidance along with other association masters at the branch school. Grand Master Chuck Hannah 8th degree black belt, Grand Master Rick Lykins 8th degree black belt, and Master Mike Haught 7th degree black belt all support Master Rush at the Ohio Valley Taekwondo Academy.

The roads are getting covered, and it is supposed to continue to snow through the evening. Master Zickefoose turned around to go home on his way to class due to the road conditions. Master Rush is already at the dojang, please use your judgement on whether to brave the roads this evening.
