So it begins…again sunrise yoga most Mondays 7-8 am❣️Park your yoga mat, your butt 🍑 and any expectations of yourself or others. Begin your week with a dose of Vitamin D, the elements kissing your skin and your body/mind meeting your breath.

This is a running narrative for us all to repeat in this sometimes shallow society we are living in. The emphasis can be too much geared towards external validation vs internal connection.
I heard this question on a podcast with the guest “how would we show up each day if we didn’t have mirrors?” Probably more relaxed and empowered.
Yoga coaxes us beneath and behind the habitual , over thinking , sometimes critical mind to expand curiosity and wonder.
The way the practice is designed, you aren’t looking around , you are looking within💞

Words to live by. Beginning with ourselves. I recently listened to a podcast by Feel Better Live More about the health of our immune system is impacted by our self esteem and how we treat ourselves! (Episode #648)
Yoga has the ability to improve our immune system by increasing mindfulness and decreasing tension both in mind/body. The more r e l a x e d we are the healthier we are.

The message is the same rusty or polished-
r e l a x. Soften through the shoulders & jaw. Come home to your breath , your mind will follow the lead back to the here and now.
We need reminders, words of encouragement to coax us from the confines of an overthinking mind.
Join us this week for some gentle movement reminding you the strength you have hiding behind an illusion of “nots” (fit , flexible, young, balanced, strong, etc).
Be inspired and inspire others by saying YES to life and showing up on the mat this week!

Yoga can be described as meditation in motion or mindful movement or movement with meaning. Yoga is not just another form of exercise, it is a work in not a work out.
Quote from Dalai Lama- “If every 8 year old on the planet was taught how to meditate, we’d eliminate violence within a generation.”
In each of us adults there is an 8 year old just waiting to learn how to find calm and quiet the mind just a bit.
Join us this last week of April to begin or continue the journey on the mat. Classes are geared for all levels, only requirement is to leave expectations at home and bring self compassion to meet yourself just as you are.

Read this again. Know you make a difference. Know you affect the atmosphere around you by what you create inside. What is in the one is in the whole. You being more aware and awake with compassion and respect to yourSelf is what you will be paying forward to those placed in your path.
There are many ways to raise your consciousness (mindful living).
Spend time in nature without your phone. Just you and your breath.
Journal.
Yoga.
Meditation.
Go for walk or run.
Bike.
Take a nap.
Active Listening.
Gratitude list..daily.
