As the 2025 season wraps up, our eyes are already set on next year’s run. The Upstate Astros are gearing up for our 9th season in the Palmetto Baseball Association, and we’re adding top-tier talent to take another shot at the championship.

The hosted the in Marietta in a competitive weekend series.

Game One Recap:

The Astros jumped out to an early lead in the top of the first inning, scoring two runs on an RBI walk by and an RBI fielder’s choice from .

The Pioneers responded quickly, plating one run in each of the first three innings off Astros starter . However, the Astros’ offense came alive in the top of the fourth, pushing across five runs on RBIs from , , , and .

Vinson rebounded from the early runs to throw three consecutive scoreless innings before handing the ball to reliever , who followed with a scoreless inning of his own. Fowler capped the scoring with his fifth home run of the season, a solo shot in the sixth.

Offensively, Fowler led the way with three RBIs and multiple hits. Fuller, Fowler, and Hernandez each recorded multi-hit games to pace the Astros’ lineup.

Game Two Recap:

In game two, the Pioneers again struck early with a solo home run in the second inning and another run in the third. The Astros responded in the bottom of the third with a three-run rally. A balk plated the first run before Coop delivered a two-RBI single to left field.

The Astros extended their lead with two runs in the fourth and one in the fifth, bringing their total to six runs on the day.

Astros starter delivered a strong performance, tossing five innings of two-run baseball while allowing just three hits. Cooper and each added a scoreless inning in relief to secure the win.

At the plate, Cooper and Fuller led the charge with three hits apiece. Cooper also contributed two RBIs in the victory.
