More great things coming in the way of dedicated multi-use paths in and around Cincy!

A new trail connector is coming to Cincinnati!

Great Parks, the City Of Cincinnati Government, Cincinnati Metro, and the Indiana & Ohio Railway (IORY) announce an agreement for the Oasis Trail, a paved 4.75-mile shared-use trail connecting Sawyer Point in downtown Cincinnati to the Lunken Airport Trail and further onto the 78-mile Little Miami Scenic Trail, made possible by Great Parks’ completion of the Beechmont Bridge Connector in 2022.

Great Parks will partner with the City of Cincinnati on engineering and design of the Oasis Trail.

The public has identified trail expansion and connections as a priority, and we are delivering on it. Upon completion, Great Parks will manage nearly 90 miles of trails throughout Hamilton County!

Throwback Thursday to the Flying Pig from 2016!

The trees were cut to make way for the stronger power lines (and more 🌳 have since been planted) but thankful the path allows for better safety, drainage and setup for our 🏃‍♂️ 🏃‍♀️ this weekend.

On April 10th the Mariemont Village Council voted:

1) in favor of a path connecting Murray Path to the Columbia Connector

2) and selected the Northern Route, aka “Utility Corridor” as the preferred option and as recommended by the Kleingers Feasibility Study that many of you contributed to.

We can’t thank you enough for your input and support!

There is much work ahead to obtain necessary funding to design and construct a safe, beautiful community amenity, so stay tuned for further info soon.

We’ve come a long way from this in summer of ‘21…!
