What do you think is the most challenging part of diving stages?

Is it the additional equipment?

The gas management?

The task loading?

The increased complexity of emergency procedures?

Or is it simply learning to make all of it look effortless?

Jeremy and Scott are currently on Day 2 of STAGE training, and we made some solid progress yesterday. Today we’ll continue building on those skills because carrying a stage bottle is easy. Carrying it efficiently, managing it properly, and integrating it seamlessly into your dive is where the real work begins.

A good Stage Diver learns much more than simply clipping on another cylinder. Gas planning, gas switches, bottle placement, trim, propulsion, valve drills, regulator management, team awareness, problem-solving, and emergency procedures all become part of the equation. The goal isn’t just to carry additional gas—it’s to do so while maintaining the same control, awareness, and safety that you had before adding the extra equipment.

Looking forward to seeing what Jeremy and Scott accomplish today. Every dive is another opportunity to refine the details, and in technical diving, it’s often the details that matter most.

If you’re interested in extending your range, increasing your capabilities, and taking the next step into technical diving, Stage Diver training can be very valuable training.

Bonaire is calling… and we are down to the last few spots for . 🌊😎

This trip is going to be one of those weeks people talk about long after they get home.

Yes, the diving is going to be incredible — warm water, gorgeous reefs, easy shore diving, boat diving, amazing visibility, tons of marine life, and that perfect Bonaire dive rhythm of “wake up, dive, eat, laugh, repeat.”

But Bonaire is not just a dive trip.

This is island exploring, flamingos, salt flats, beach time, snorkeling, sunsets, great food, warm breezes, photo stops, relaxing with good people, and having enough options that nobody has to feel like every single minute needs to be underwater.

Want to dive your face off? Perfect.

Want to mix in some exploring, food, sunshine, and island time? Also perfect.

Want to go home wondering why you waited this long to join us? We can help with that too. 😂

There is a reason we keep going back to Bonaire. It is beautiful, fun, relaxed, and just easy to love.

The flyer has the trip details, and we are getting close to full. If you want to join us, please reach out as soon as possible before the last spots are gone.

One thing that doesn’t get talked about enough in sidemount…

Restowing a long hose cleanly and consistently. IN THE WATER, after practicing an air share.

It always sounds simple until you’re actually doing it, especially when you’re trying to keep things streamlined, accessible, and not create a mess mid-dive.

Different divers seem to land on different solutions depending on their setup and environment.

Curious how everyone here handles it.

how do YOU restow your long hose while staying neutral and horizontal

Josh started his Full Cave training quite some time ago, and like many real journeys in diving, it came with a challenge early on that took him out of the water for a bit. What matters is how he handled it — with patience, discipline, and a commitment to come back the right way, on his terms and within his limits.

Over the past year and a half, Josh has been back in the water consistently, putting in the work dive after dive. He stayed within his training, resisted the urge to rush the process, and focused on getting better every time he showed up. The improvement in his skill level has been significant, but even more impressive has been the growth in his awareness, decision-making, and overall thought process as a diver.

Today, he successfully completed his Full Cave training. Well earned. Josh, I’m proud of the way you approached this — steady, thoughtful, and committed to doing it right. Looking forward to diving with you moving forward.

Incredibly proud of you Josh. Its been an awesome journey with you so far and I am excited to see what comes next for you.

Two years.
12 dives.
609 minutes underwater.

That’s what it took for Benjamin.

This one means a lot to me.

Watching a very close friend go through Full Cave wasn’t about rushing, checking a box, or getting to a card—it was about doing it right. Step by step. Dive by dive.

And that standard doesn’t change for anyone.

Friend or not… the bar is the bar.

He came into this already accomplished in the dive industry, already skilled, already experienced. But he chose to put that aside and be a student again. To slow down, to listen, to refine, and to earn every bit of progress along the way.

What I saw over these two years wasn’t just better skills… it was real growth. In mindset, discipline, awareness, and control. The kind of growth that actually matters when things aren’t perfect.

No shortcuts. No rushing. Just consistent work and commitment.

And it shows.

I’m incredibly proud of what you’ve accomplished… not just passing the class, but who you’ve become as a diver through the process.

You earned this.

Congratulations, my friend.
