What an incredible month it was with our most recent international intern, Isabel Leachman a Colombian-American student from Orlando, Florida.

With deep family roots in both Colombia and baseball, Isabel arrived in Cali eager to serve and fully prepared to embrace the challenges and rewards of the work ahead. Throughout her internship, she did it all—from collecting and delivering donations to co-teaching in our All-Star English program—making a meaningful impact every step of the way.

She wrapped up her time in Colombia with a special visit to El Peñol, helping strengthen our programming both on and off the field. Her boundless energy, positive spirit, and unwavering commitment to serving others have been truly contagious. She quickly became an important part of the PB family, and we hope this is only the beginning of a long relationship with our organization.

From all of us at PB, thank you, Isabel, for your dedication, hard work, and heart for service. We look forward to seeing you in Orlando later this week! ⚾❤️🇨🇴🇺🇸

The team from Fénix de Quinamayó traveled to Cali for a baseball exchange with Bolívar School, and came home with a win ⚾💙

Beyond the final score, it was a great experience for the kids traveling together, competing in a new environment, building confidence, and representing their community with pride. We’re proud to see how much the Quinamayó kids continue to grow in their skills, teamwork, and love for the game.

A special thank you to , Coach , and for opening this space and for the work they continue to do for baseball in Cali. We hope to keep strengthening this partnership, because opportunities like this are important for both communities and for the growth of baseball in Cali and Valle del Cauca.

In El Peñol, baseball is becoming so much more than a game⚾️

Across schools, practices, and community spaces, children are discovering new passions, building friendships, and finding confidence through sport and education. What started as simple introductions to the game has grown into a community full of energy, teamwork, and dreams for the future.

Today, 40 kids are actively practicing baseball with Águilas de El Peñol, while 20 are participating in All-Star English classes, creating opportunities both on and off the field.

The future continues to grow, one practice, one class, and one child at a time💙

Please welcome Ariadna Mendez to the Project Béisbol team as our new Development Intern! 💙⚾

After supporting PB as a dedicated volunteer for the past 6 months, Ariadna now officially joins the team in this new role—bringing the same passion and commitment she’s shown from day one. Based in Miami, she is a Business Administration graduate from Miami Dade Honors College with a strong interest in logistics, project management, and HR.

Originally from Venezuela, Ariadna combines her love for baseball with a deep passion for working with children in underserved communities. She stands out for her proactive mindset, positive energy, and enthusiasm for creating impact wherever she goes.

We’re so excited to have her continue this journey with us! Welcome to the team, Ariadna! ✨

For the third time, MLB brought the game to Mexico City through the World Tour Mexico City—this time featuring the San Diego Padres and the Arizona Diamondbacks ⚾🇲🇽 These weren’t exhibition games—they were official league matchups at the highest level, giving young players the chance to experience the intensity and excitement of the game up close.

Through the support of MLB and its representative Kevin Moss, 25 tickets were gifted to boys and girls who are just beginning their journey in baseball and softball. The tickets were shared with teams from Zacatepec, Cuernavaca, and Mexico City, along with a few for the caregivers and coordinators who made the experience possible. A big shout out our PB Rep in Mexico, Victor Islava , who coordinated the experience, and our partners in Mexico Pericos Tetelpa, Alacranes de Morelos AC, Revolución Agraria , Liga Olmeca AC Oficial and Universidad Internacional Uninter .

For many of these children, this was a once-in-a-lifetime moment. Some had never been inside a professional stadium, and several traveled more than three hours just to be there. What they found was more than a game—it was inspiration, possibility, and a deeper love for the sport.

Two of the kids even caught game balls thrown by San Diego players—moments they will never forget.

Because sometimes, all it takes is one game to spark a dream. 💙

We’re excited to welcome Andrés Angulo to Project Béisbol as our new Programs & Partnerships Coordinator and Field Ambassador. With over a decade of professional experience across international leagues—and time in the San Francisco Giants and Baltimore Orioles organizations—Andrés brings a powerful mix of leadership, global perspective, and passion for the game.

Now serving as captain of the Vaqueros de Monteria, he continues to make an impact on the field while dedicating himself to creating opportunities for the next generation. From representing Colombia and Spain on the international stage to advocating for players’ rights, Andrés embodies what baseball is all about—and we’re proud to have him helping drive our mission forward. ⚾🔥💙

Over the past few months, .marshall.8 a Yorktown High School student has led an incredible effort in support of Project Béisbol, setting up and managing six collection boxes and organizing a successful gear drive within the Arlington community.

With the guidance of Coach .mandleur and the support of Coach .baseball , the initiative brought together friends, teammates, and families who all stepped up to make a difference. The response was overwhelming—not only did many attend the gear drive, but others who couldn’t be there still found ways to contribute, leaving donations to ensure they could be part of the impact.

Efforts like this remind us that when a community comes together, access to sport becomes possible for so many more. We are deeply grateful and excited for what lies ahead. ⚾️💙

This past weekend, we experienced a truly special day of baseball and softball in Santa Rosa, Bolívar ⚾💙

Boys and girls from Malagana, Bocachica, Caño del Oro, and Santa Rosa came together for a day that felt much bigger than just games. The kids were incredibly united, building friendships across teams and sharing moments that went beyond the field. For many, it was their very first game—there were nerves at the beginning, but those quickly turned into smiles, excitement, and pure joy.

A special recognition to club Tomateros de Santa Rosa (youth baseball) and the Yeiris Machacón women’s softball club for their passion, leadership, and for inspiring the next generation.

Moments like these remind us how powerful these spaces of integration are—where sport becomes a bridge for connection, confidence, and new beginnings.

Thank you to all the teams and communities who made this day so meaningful. And a special thank you to our interns, Darìna , Elver Vivanco , and Tyler Fore, for their dedication and energy in making this experience possible.
