The following information is for those of you that have liked or are following the Red Oak High School Shotgun Team. Unfortunately the team has dissolved and 2 new teams have been formed and the shooters that were shooting with Red Oak are now competing with either the Midlothian Clay Target Team or the Waxahachie Shotgun Team. Well, I just got back from practice at ECSC. I’m happy to say there were several old, familiar faces in the group! We had an awesome practice and everyone shot great! Thanks for putting in the work to improve your game!! Coach Bob 😁

Bryson and his family spent around a week in OH for SCTP Nationals. Some of you have asked how he did. Here are his results and I must say he did very well indeed! Great job, Iceman! 😎

Men’s Sr HOA 16 out of 447. Score 560, -19 differential.

Men’s Top Gun SCTP HOA #18 out of 829. Score 560, -19 differential.

S***t Senior Varsity - 4 out of 400 shooters. Score 199, 86 differential.

Clays - Senior Varsity Men’s 34 out of 447 shooters. Score 168.

Trap - Senior Varsity Men’s. 106 out of 696 shooters. Score 193 with 2 RR.

I’ve been chatting with Iceman quite a bit today. What an awesome young man. How the heck do we replace this guy!?! I’m not going to update you on results. There are still some scores coming in. There have been highs and lows, but It’s safe to say Bryson delivered the goods for Red Oak HS Shotgun Team and the Lone Star State. I can tell you that of 405 shooters in his class at s***t, Bryson placed 4th. Let that sink in for a minute. That means Bryson beat 401 of the top Men’s Senior / Varsity shooters in the country. The most amazing thing about it is the fact that he’s still the same old, humble Bryson. This kid deserves a ticker tape parade! Keep those thoughts and prayers coming folks. Here is the latest from the SCTP Nationals in OH. Bryson had another solid outing today. He shot a 98 in his favorite, trap. LOL!! He really doesn’t like trap much, but that’s a great score for him. He also shot a 79 in sporting clays. He’s kinda bummed with that score, but I couldn’t be more proud. Still waiting for some scores in s***t. As of right now though, he is still tied for first with that 199. Keep up the good work, Iceman. We are all rooting for you back home. Salsa!! 😁

Our man at SCTP Nationals just called. I’m happy to report that Bryson finished with a 199 / 200 in s***t today! Keep your fingers crossed that his score will hold up. Still lots of shooters remain, but Bryson should be in the hunt. Next up is trap. Please keep Bryson and his family in your prayers. No chips Iceman, just salsa!! 😎

Just got off the phone with Bryson Wall. As most of you know, he is at SCTP Nationals representing the Red Oak HS Shotgun Team and the great state of Texas. Iceman was low key as always. They threw him 100 targets and he broke 100 targets. Simple, right? Hardly! Try it some day. Bryson shoots more s***t tomorrow. He said the weather is hot, but tolerable. Please keep this fine young man and all of the shooters in your thoughts and prayers. No chips, Bryson. Just salsa! 😎

Here is an update from the SCTP National competition in Ohio. Bryson Wall shot his first round of s***t this morning and true to form, shot a straight. For those not familiar with a straight, that is 100 targets broken out of 100 targets. He will shoot his 2nd round of s***t tomorrow. Congratulations Bryson and continued success. "Makem' Dust".
