I hope they close it after this year but they won't. The DEC and DNR ARE GETTING BONUS MONEY for a season thst extends possibilities for hunting. especially for out of state hunter money. The states can't turn that money down because of low sales of hunting licenses. So the snow goose population suffers for the green of others.

Conservation seasons (such as the spring snows goose season) were never implemented as "Permanent Seasons"...They were implemented to reduce population numbers. Which means that once those numbers are reduced, you can kiss it all goodbye! There are already whispers, discussions, and proposals for this in every flyway. Point being...if a spring Conservation Order snow goose hunt is on your "to do" list, you better get to doing it here in '26, because it COULD be on your "wish I would've" list in '27...🤷‍♂️ See link in comments 👇
