Beacon Golf Center Beacon Golf Center welcomes people of all ages to come and hit golf balls! Beacon Golf Center is not only a driving range, but a practice facility!

You can hit a bucket of balls off of the grass or the mats, whatever you prefer. The cost is $5 per token (1 token= 1 bucket), or $20 for 5 tokens. You can also practice your putting under the canopy on our putting mat. A soda machine, restrooms, and tables and chairs to sit and relax in are also available.

After assessing the conditions of the range today, we are pushing back our planned opening date to Sunday, March 29th. The ground needs a few days of dry weather before we can open to make sure all of the golf balls do not plug into the mud. Stay tuned!

Now that the weather is improving, we’ve begun our spring cleanup in preparation for opening. The range is extremely wet from the rapid snow melt. Depending on weather and drying conditions, we are hoping for a March 24 open date. All updates will be posted here on Facebook. Hope to see you soon.

Due to the weather getting colder, and the range getting wetter, we are closing today for the winter. Thank you all for a great year and we will see you in the Spring.

A few points worth noting……

First thought is about the Golf Balls at our golf range. Throughout the season, we purchase Golf Balls to replenish those lost around the perimeter of our facility (up to 5-6000 per season). We purchase regular “used“ Golf Balls that are of “golf course” quality. They’re not reduced flight and are better than what you would call a Typical Range ball. Due to a recent shortage of Golf Balls available, our last purchase of 3000 were even newer quality than what we usually purchase. Our point in explaining this is that although used, these Golf Balls were white and new looking when bought 4 weeks ago. Having said that, the grass on our facility is 100% sand based, and when golf balls are hit thousands of times and subsequently landing on a sand surface thousands of times, the golf ball covering gets worn quickly. These Golf Balls go from looking new, to looking 10 years old very quickly, but they are still good Golf Balls and fly the same as if the covering remained new looking. We always watch for and remove older balls that need to be taken out of circulation, while we are cleaning them after each and every hit. They get a lot of use and we rotate in replacements as they become too worn to strike.

Next point of interest is our hitting mats. Several are in need of replacement. Again there is a shortage of high end gently used mats available. We have been watching normal sources for availability and will be replacing those in need as soon as they come available…..hopefully before the Spring. Sorry for this inconvenience.

Please also note that pricing will remain the same for 2026. We will continue to supply approximately 60 balls per bucket and this is equivalent to a “large” bucket at other ranges. Follow us for holiday specials on Season Memberships and pre-2026-season Membership discounts.

Last, as weather continues to deteriorate,
watch for updates to our closing, for 2025 Season. It will likely be by the first week of November as in most previous years. Think Spring as it’s always just a few months away.

The driver tee is finally open as of today. Sorry for the inconvenience, but mother nature finally offered 4 days of drying the ground and allowing us to get equipment out on the range to complete our net repair.

We have also turned the lights on for the season. Our current hours are dawn to 10PM. Pre-season membership pricing has been extended due to our limited opening. See previous post for rates.
