Rolling Hills Shooting Preserve is a premier 640-acre upland hunting destination in Southwest Michigan.

For over 50 years, we’ve offered expert-guided pheasant and chukar hunts across scenic rolling terrain, welcoming hunters of all skill levels.

Fresh-picked corn will be on a table outside the clubhouse with a cash box inside. Stop by anytime and grab a dozen!

Sunflowers are now blooming at Rolling Hills Shooting Preserve. For just $10, you can pick as many sunflowers as you’d like, or visit the fields for your next photo session.

The sunflower season is short, so plan your visit soon to enjoy them while they’re in bloom.

If no one is around when you arrive, there is a box inside the clubhouse where you can place your $10 payment.

Whether you’re introducing a young dog to the field or continuing to develop an experienced bird dog, our Gun Dog Club is here to help.

Our goal is to assist handlers in bringing their bird dogs to their full potential through training, guidance, and shared experience. Whether you’re new to bird dogs or have years of experience, we welcome anyone who is eager to learn and improve.

Meet the Owner: Eli Robinson

Born and raised in Marcellus, Eli’s connection to Rolling Hills goes back generations. Through his family’s friendship with longtime owners Curt and Paula, he spent his childhood lending a hand around the preserve, from collecting eggs and banding birds to baling hay and helping wherever he was needed.

While his path took him to Purdue University and several years living in New Mexico with his wife, his passion for hunting, fishing, and introducing others to the outdoors only continued to grow. Returning home and stepping into the opportunity to carry on the Rolling Hills legacy felt like a full-circle moment.

As an owner, no two days look the same. You might find Eli answering the phones, putting out hunts, planting new cover, delivering birds, or tackling whatever needs to be done to support the team and the experience guests have come to expect.

What does Eli love most about Rolling Hills? The people. Whether it’s catching up with longtime guests who have been coming for 20-plus years or meeting someone experiencing upland hunting for the first time, the relationships built here are what make the preserve special.

When asked to describe Rolling Hills in three words, Eli chose:
Authentic. Unique. Beautiful.

His vision for the future is simple: honor the history and traditions that Curt and Paula built while introducing new generations to the authentic upland experience that makes Rolling Hills so special.

With an appreciation for Rolling Hills' history and excitement for what’s ahead, Eli is proud to carry its legacy forward for generations to come.

Whether you’re brand new to dog training or an experienced handler looking to sharpen skills, this is a great opportunity to learn more about our training club, meet our trainers, and connect with others who share a passion for developing well-trained gun dogs.

We’ll walk through what the club offers, then wrap up the evening with dinner on site.

Preparing the planting beds at Rolling Hills for an assorted pumpkin patch coming this fall. Hunters and their families will be able to pick through pumpkins before or after their hunt and take them home after a successful day in the field.

A small timing adjustment can make a big difference in the field. Being ready as birds are being released helps you stay ahead of movement, especially late in the season when cover is thinner.
