I finally got an air fryer! I am so excited to make everything. I immediately made some air fried garlicky zucchini and peppers. It was super fast and easy. I just sliced the veggies, tossed them with a little bit of olive oil, Himalayan pink salt, pepper and minced garlic. I air fried it for 11 minutes at 320 degrees. Absolutely delicious! šŸ˜‹ I think this is going to be a great addition to my kitchen. What are some of your favorite air fryer recipes??? @ Marbury, Maryland

Are you so busy taking care of everything and everyone else that you don’t have time to take care of yourself? What’s the price that you and your loved ones are paying for this lack of self care?

Let’s talk about self care! It’s so, so important for us to take excellent care of ourselves so that we can be of service to others. We are drawn in so many different directions and have other people counting on us on a regular basis. It’s so easy to get caught up in all of the things that we have to do and lose ourselves. This can be detrimental to us mentally, physically and spiritually. So we must take time to take care of ourselves so that we can be healthy and happy and of better service to everyone in our lives.

This includes healthy nutrition, exercise, personal development and spiritual connection. What are you going to do today to take care of yourself???

Today I spent a couple of hours walking in the woods and now I am relaxing with some cozy herbal tea. It could be a bubble bath, or a quiet room with a good book, or a coffee date with an old friend, or a yoga class. Whatever you need to feel your best, boost your mood, and improve your mindset...there is no wrong way to do it. Just take excellent care of yourself!

Do you want to improve your life, productivity, income, health, etc, just like I do??? I’ve been reading this excellent book and implementing some of his recommendations and I am so excited about the positive effects already! Just small, seemingly insignificant, daily behaviors add up when done consistently.

For example, if you want to save money start by writing down every penny you spend every day. If you are diligent about this for one week, you will start to see the benefit. Within 3 to 4 weeks it will become automatic just like brushing your teeth. And it will make you think before you spend money unnecessarily. Over time the compound effect of spending less daily will add up significantly!

I just started tracking my spending this week and I can say for sure that it has already curbed my spending because it made me more conscious of it. I am already less likely to buy a coffee out because I don’t want to write down that I spent $4 on coffee! Imagine if I save that $4 and invest it. All those $4 invested over time will yield way more than the original $4. Therefore, I am not only saving money, but making more money for the future.

And this compound effect can be applied to pretty much every aspect of your life. What to lose weight...track everything that you eat every single day as you eat it. It will make more aware of what you are eating and how little things add up over time. Want to get in better shape...track your exercise every single day without fail. You will make it a habit that just becomes part of your normal life.

It all seems so simple, but honestly, a lot of us just never take the first step to creating the new habit. It takes discipline for a while, but then it just becomes part of who you are.

I’m on a journey to continuously become a better version of myself and to never stop learning and growing. I can tell that the insightful advice in this book is going to be an integral piece of this journey and will change my life forever!

How do you get more veggies into your diet and lose weight? I like to use swaps like using cauliflower ā€œriceā€ in place of rice and zucchini ā€œnoodlesā€ in place of pasta. I also like to add spinach to my protein shakes and smoothies. I can’t even taste it!

When I go out to eat, I get double veggies in place of the usual baked potato or fries on the side. Simple little swaps like these add up over time and help to trim you down. Not to mention the extraordinary health benefits of eating more veggies and less simple carbohydrates.

I’m getting ready to help host a new nutrition challenge group where we will learn how to eat for health and weight loss that will serve us for a lifetime! I’m very excited to be hosting this nutrition challenge group with my awesome teammates! We are going to have a ton of fun and help other women lose weight and improve their nutrition for life! And one of the best things about this is that we won’t be doing it alone! It’s proven that having an accountability group ensures better and longer lasting results for any self improvement endeavors.

Do you know what is good for you, but you don’t do it anyway??? I’m soooo happy to be getting back into working out and eating healthy! It’s so funny how we stop doing the things that make us feel good, and then when we finally get back to it we are left wondering why on earth we stopped in the first place!
For me, I got injured, which led to me not being able to workout like I am used to which led to me falling into a depression, emotionally eating, binge eating and not working out for several weeks.
All of this made me feel shame and guilt which fed the depression and emotional eating. And like any good addict, I was hiding what I was doing. I didn’t want you to know that I wasn’t working out or gaining weight or struggling with binge eating. I wanted to hold onto where I was 3 months ago and pretend that everything was ok. But it wasn’t ok.

Thank God for my team of women who are sharing this journey with me. My fellow coaches and my clients in my group have never stopped supporting me and cheering me on. And when I shared my struggles with them, they were all so positive and proud of me! ā¤ļø There was no judgement, no criticism, just lots of love and words of encouragement! For this I am fiercely grateful and proud to be a part of something bigger than myself.
I know that we all have our struggles. It’s part of life and the way we handle them is what makes us stronger. I have learned a lot from this experience and I am going to turn it around into a positive outcome! I am going to come out of this injury stronger and leaner and wiser!
