Eastern YC is gearing up for the 3rd annual Halloween Team Race - October 26th and 27th in Marblehead, MA. Once again, we are planning a weekend of on and off the water fun.
- 3v3 team races in Sonars with the spectacular Marblehead colored sails
- Teams will sail in Marblhead harbor - off the EYC docks
- Colin Gordon will be back to entertain spectators on the porch all weekend
- Saturday night H

That's a wrap on the 2023 . Thanks all for a terrific weekend of on and off the water fun in Marblehead.

In the meantime, congrats to the podium - long time friends of the HTR, Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht Club in first with 16 points, neighbors Corinthian Yacht Club, 2nd with 13 points and the home team, Eastern Yacht Club in 3rd with 11 points.

Day 1 of the 2023 is in the books. An absolutely stellar day on the water. Thank you Race Committee!

After 38 races, Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht Club leads with 9 race wins and 0 losses. Corinthian Yacht Club is close behind with 7 wins and Ida Lewis Yacht Club sits in 3rd with 6 race wins.

Racing commences tomorrow - competitors meeting @ 9AM, racing to follow. Plan is to finish the 2nd round robin and then move on to final rounds (exact format TBD based on conditions and timing).

Come on down tomorrow and check out the action and cheer on your favorite team. Bar opens at noon.

Huge thanks to event chair Spencer Powers for the fantastic weekend of on and off the water fun. Mother Nature could not stop Spence!

Thanks also to the many volunteers and the entire Eastern Yacht Club staff for all your efforts this weekend. Special shout out to the waterfront team for getting us going for one last day of fun.

Update from event chair Spencer Powers: in the interest of safety of people and equipment, the Eastern Waterfront will shut down at 5PM today, boats will be hauled this afternoon. There will be no sailing on Saturday (10/27). Sailing on Sunday is still planned. THE PARTY IS STILL ON!

The club will be open tomorrow. Participants and volunteers are invited to come by and enjoy our facilities. Kevin Shields will open the bar at noon.

Update from event chair Spencer Powers: a Nor'Easter is expected to arrive in Marblehead on Saturday. Current forecasts suggests a sailable window on Saturday morning.

No change to the weekend schedule. Breakfast on Saturday at 8AM. Competitors meeting at 9AM. Followed by sailing and a costume party. Kevin Shields will be slinging cocktails from the bar starting at noon.

Sunday is looking like a great day for a sail.

The Harbor is clearing out and we are all just about recovered from our J/70 Worlds highs and are gearing up for some HTR fun.

We look forward to welcoming Wianno Yacht Club, Seawanhaka Corinthian Yacht Club, Noroton Yacht Club, New York Yacht Club-Harbour Court, New Bedford Yacht Club and our neighbors Corinthian Yacht Club and Boston Yacht Club to the 2018 Halloween Team Race.

Fun kicks off on Saturday Oct 27th. Get your costumes ready!
