How to Transport an Inflatable SUP on Your Car 🚙🏄‍♀️

One of the things I love about inflatable paddle boards is how easy they are to transport. If your vehicle has crossbars, all you need is one NRS strap and you’re ready to go!

✅ Place your inflated board deck-side down across the crossbars.
✅ Center the board on the rack.
✅ Run a single NRS strap around the board and crossbars.
✅ Cinch it down snugly—secure, but not overly tight.
✅ Tie off any extra strap so it doesn’t flap in the wind.
✅ Give the board a quick shake test before hitting the road.

I’ve hauled inflatable SUPs all over Colorado this way—from local paddles to mountain lake adventures—and it’s a simple, reliable setup that gets you to the water fast.

Less fuss. More paddling. 🌊

Just me and my mom out there doing what we love, last winter. 💛❄️

Those are the moments I’ll hold onto forever—fresh snow, big smiles, and getting to share it all with her. There’s something really special about slowing down, being outside, and just enjoying the ride together.

And honestly… we’re both pretty obsessed with our Hok skis 🙌
Lightweight, easy, and perfect for getting out on days like that: no pressure, just pure fun.

Golden hour magic ✨

Headed out for a scenic sunset snowshoe… except there was no snow, so we hiked it instead 😄

Still just as good—crisp air, glowing peaks, and that peaceful end-of-day energy you can’t beat.

Sometimes the plan changes, but the adventure still delivers 🥾
