Last week ended with a… well, you can fill in the blank! 😏

Now THIS is literal sea to table — and when the table looks like this, the hardest part might be deciding how to eat it all!

We like our Mahi lightly blackened in tacos with fresh lime and Cotija cheese. 🌮
And the tuna? Nachos, ceviche, tataki… you really can’t go wrong.

Thursdays are for TUNA! 🎣

Remember Shelli and Mike from Monday’s mahi trip?

Well… apparently one day on Black’s Pearl wasn’t enough. 😂

Three days later they were back onboard with Captain Aaron and Bender, braving the August heat and heading to the humps — this time with tuna on the agenda!

And once again, the fish cooperated. Blackfin tuna and skipjacks kept the rods bent and gave these two another Florida Keys fishing story to take home to Ohio.

There’s no better compliment than guests choosing to spend another day of their vacation fishing with us. ❤️

Monday was for Mahi.
Thursday was for Tuna.

Mondays are for Mahi. 💚💛

Shelli Mike and Angel from Ohio spent Monday offshore with Captain Aaron and Bender chasing one of our favorite signs of summer in the Florida Keys — MAHI!

This 8-hour offshore trip put that theory to the test — and this crew got their money’s worth!

Captain Aaron and Mate Bender found the mahi and kept this crew busy, putting a pile of fish in the boat and plenty more smiles behind them. From fish on the line to a VERY full cleaning table, this is what a full day offshore in Marathon is supposed to look like.

The mahi showed up… but the tripletail stole the show! 🎣

Tuesday brought sunshine, w**d patches and hungry fish! Capt. Aaron and mate Bender worked the w**ds and put the crew on a great mahi bite — filling the table with plenty of color.

Then came the real surprise: a 25-inch tripletail! 🔥

Tripletail are notoriously finicky, incredible table fare, and we just don’t see many this size. Getting this one to the boat was definitely a highlight of the day!

“Sorry Charlie…” 🐟

Charlie wasn’t the only tuna with bad luck today! Repeat customers Steve and Colleen from Michigan went 7 for 8 on todays trip to the Marathon Humps. It was one of those birdy days that had everyone on the boat saying, “There they are!” in every direction and the rods stayed busy.

While the tax man managed to steal one, these two still headed home with a cooler full of tuna, and even picked off a few peanut mahi from trolling the w**d lines on the ride home. Just another day of memories made on the water.

Days like this are exactly why we love summer fishing in the Keys. You never know what the next flock of birds is going to lead you to.
