Hello peeps!! šŸ’›
I have missed all of you so much.

You might remember me as your ā€œfunā€ coach — always ready to teach a class… or four a day šŸ˜„. I loved running, hiking, biking, and anything that got my heart rate up.

In mid-2023, I let family issues, health problems, and deep sadness pull me into an isolation I’m not proud of. I mentally hit rock bottom, and exercise stopped bringing me joy. Instead, it stirred up memories of a coach from my past who repeatedly told me I wasn’t good enough.

I love my family and my grandbabies more than anything, and I convinced myself that putting my health and fitness on the back burner was what I needed at the time.

Then in July of 2025, while I was already at my lowest, I lost one of my favorite people in the world — my little brother, Chuck. šŸ’” I spiraled hard with grief.

In September, I suggested to my sister-in-law (Ms. Fitness herself!🄰 She is amazing) that we honor him every year by doing something in his memory. I knew how proud Chuck was of me when I was coaching all of you, running, biking, and truly living a life I loved.

So here I am — working on our first memory event. I’m not chasing winning or perfection. I’m showing up, finishing, and creating a baseline for next year.

Monday, June 2nd….this is an accountability post. Long story short my emergency hysterectomy rocked my world. My hormones are out of whack and I am exhausted from working out and obviously following the wrong diet. Starting tomorrow I will be following a strict anti inflammatory diet, fasting and using Unicity. I will be doing a daily 20 minute workout and logging my walks. If you are ready to join me for any or all of this left me know. I miss you guys!!! Also, anyone want to
join me at Orange Theory Marana?

Here it is peeps…..Our May Challenge!

We will be using a program created by Matt Silvers called the IronMay Challenge. You can officially register online or log your progress on the AYH page on this pinned thread. We will keep each other accountable through posts of our accomplishments and cheer each other on to victory. The official link of this program is

There are THREE competition options for 2024...

OPTION 1: IronMay
This is the traditional IronMay triathlon option. It consists of swim (2.4 miles), bike (112 miles) and run/walk (26.2 miles) legs that are each Ironman-length distances.

OPTION 2: IronDuathlon
For those who do not have pool/water access, or perhaps not of the aquatic variety, there's an option for you! This will consist of bike (112 miles) and run/walk (26.2 miles) legs that are each Ironman-length distances.

OPTION 3: IronTime
Participants in this division must complete at least 20 cumulative hours of ANY physical activity or exercise to "finish" their virtual race. That's right, ANY physical activity or exercise. Spend 30 minutes doing yoga...LOG IT! Spend 45 minutes stepping in place...LOG IT! Spend 15 minutes doing an ab workout...LOG IT! IronMay has always been based on the honor system. Though the IronTime option expands on the latitude of activities that can be completed, we encourage all participants to honor the spirit of the event and practice honest sportsmanship.
