Just a quick Shout Out to Michael Stevenson & Superstition Hobbies in Queen Creek (AZ) for agreeing to support our Oval efforts in Tucson again for 2022, and they'll be helping out with some sponsorship on the SWPOC race in March as well.

I'm hoping to work with as many hobby shops as possible to help bring Oval Racing back, and to RACE products that are and can be purchased in "local hobby shops" as much as possible.

The Buggy, Short Course and TRAXXAS Classes help make that happen.

The 2nd Annual Southwest Paved Oval Championship race is scheduled for March 4-6, 2022.

Our "warm-up" race became the "Winter*Heat race (coming up Jan 14-16) after I was forced to cancel our OktoberFAST race in October due to illness.

So we'll be knocking off the rust and ice and getting ready for SWPOC 2022.

Well, it's not the South-West Paved Oval Championships again, but we ARE coming back to the Tucson Quarter Midget track May 15-16, (Saturday will be open practice with racing on SUNDAY the 16th, starting about 9:30)

So let's RACE!

We're on for race #2 at the Tucson Quarter Midget track in Marana on the weekend of May 14-16

We were not approved for the big generator & lights however, so it will be daytime racing.

I just got this news & am in route to Calif. for a velodrome race, so I'll be gone a few days.

What works best, for YOU the racers?

Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun ( I'm not going to do all 3 days this time )

OK so the Quarter Midget track told me to throw some dates out that I'd be interested in DOING IT AGAIN.

I'd love to put something together before the HEAT of SUMMER hits - but that doesn't leave much time to plan/prep and organize (not that I really need a lot, but I need to be sure there will be enough racers to cover the bills.

I have a race in California this coming weekend, and will be away for 6-8 days for that, so the rest of April will be out, but as of right now I have nothing scheduled for May -- but I have another race in Calif. the 1st weekend of June so I'd want at least a 2 week gap -

So - if I ask for a MAY race date - which would be better?

The weekend of the 8th or the weekend of the 15th?

I'm thinking that just a single day of racing might be better for this go round, with probably the practice day too - even though I'll have to pay for all 3 days (doesn't mean I have to use them)

I'm going to ask about both dates - see if both are available, and we'll go from there.

I've also thought about a "NIGHT RACE" during the warmer weather, again it would be just a single day race (or night) with the lights -- if there is enough interest to pull that off.

Since my VELO race is the 1st weekend of June and my next one after that isn't until Mid July -- there's a 6 week period I could split maybe target the weekend of June 26th?

Sundays Race Videos - This is all the video I could edit.
I'm missing a couple races, so Im guessing I didn't actually get the camera started for those, or else I accidentally deleted them when splitting and splicing stuff together.
