We are SO incredibly proud of Larkin alumni Caleb & Ava for taking the stage on the Symphony of Dance Tour with the one and only Derek Hough and an unbelievable cast of artists! ❤️

What an incredible accomplishment to be part of a production that celebrates dance at the highest level. Watching our alumni continue to pursue their dreams, perform on stages across the country, and help keep dance alive in live entertainment makes us prouder than we can put into words.

Congratulations to Caleb, Ava, Derek, and the entire cast and creative team on such a spectacular show. Your artistry, passion, and dedication are inspiring!

15 years without the woman who started it all. ❤️

Before there was the “Larkin Way,” there was Shirley Larkin.

77 years ago, she had a dream, a love for dance, and a vision that became something bigger than she ever could have imagined. Because of her, generations of dancers have walked through our doors. Lifelong friendships have been made, families have grown up here, teachers have found their purpose, and thousands of dancers have been given a place to call home. Everything we are traces back to her….

She taught us that dance was about so much more than steps or trophies. It was about hard work, loyalty, family, resilience, and being a good person first. Those lessons have been passed from generation to generation, and they are still at the heart of Larkin today.

We wish more than anything that she could see what her dance studio has become. But we know she is woven into every part of it — in the traditions we carry, the standards we hold, the love we have for our dancers, and the pride we feel for the Larkin Legacy ✨

15 years later, we still miss her beyond words, but her legacy has never stopped growing.

Thank you, Shirley, for dreaming big enough to create a life and a home for so many of us. We are forever grateful, forever proud, and forever committed to carrying on what you started.

Two incredible weeks💙

Our Ballet Camp was filled with growth, discipline, and so much joy! Watching these dancers fall in love with the process is what it’s all about.

A heartfelt thank you to our incredible faculty and guest instructors for sharing your passion, knowledge, and love of dance with every student. Your impact reaches far beyond the studio walls, and we are so grateful for the time and energy you poured into our dancers.

Now… we’re ready. Here’s to our 77th season at Larkin Dance Studio—a season of dreaming bigger, working harder, supporting one another, and becoming the very best versions of ourselves.

We are absolutely overwhelmed with gratitude and honored to be named the first-ever OPUS Award Winner at Press Play Dance Convention 💙

To Press Play and the entire faculty—thank you for believing in us… We are so grateful for this incredible honor and that you created an environment that inspires dancers and studios to dream bigger, work harder, and love this art form even more.
To the incredible studios who stood alongside us in the Top 5—congratulations. We know the countless hours, sacrifices, and unwavering dedication it took to prepare for this moment was anything but easy…. It was an honor to share the stage with such extraordinary artists and studios. The level of talent this week was truly inspiring ✨

To our Room Moms, Prop Dads, seamstresses, families, and the best staff anyone could ever ask for—there will never be enough words to thank you. This moment belongs to you just as much as it belongs to us. Your selflessness, tireless work behind the scenes, and unconditional love for these dancers made this possible. We are forever grateful.

To our dancers… YOU DID IT!!! 🤍

You believed. You trusted. You pushed yourselves harder than ever before, and you left your hearts on that stage. Watching you grow not only as dancers, but as people has been the greatest privilege. Thank you for trusting us, for showing up every single day, and for giving everything you had. We could not be more proud of the way you represented yourselves and our studio.

And to every dancer who competed this week: we hope you leave with hearts that are full. Full from learning. Full from being inspired by world-class faculty. Full from watching incredible dancers from around the world. Every dancer who took the stage was so talented, and we feel lucky to have witnessed it all 💕

Our hearts are overflowing. We are beyond proud of our Larkin family and deeply humbled to become the first-ever recipients of this award.

What an incredible honor to be standing alongside some of the best studios in the world as a Top 5 finalist in the OPUS Competition at Press Play Nationals. Congratulations to on an incredible night of dance 😍 You all inspire us more than you know….
This is a moment we will never take for granted, and we are so grateful for the opportunity to share the stage with such extraordinary artists.

To our dancers: YOU DID IT. We hope you know just how proud we are of each and every one of you. The countless hours, the sacrifices, the rehearsals, the belief in one another—it all led to the performances you gave on that stage. No matter what happens next, you should walk away knowing you represented Larkin with heart, passion, and unwavering love for dance.

To our families, faculty, and everyone who has supported this journey, thank you for believing in these dancers every step of the way.

Our Larkin family is truly something special, and we couldn’t be prouder to call this team ours.
