It’s been awhile since we have posted anything but had some success at the Top Hand youth rodeo series this summer. Finished the summer as the year end champion in the heeling and calf roping, also was the All Around Champion.

The NHSFR did go quite like we hoped. Had a NT in the 1st round, but ended the High School career with a good run.

Just got home from Leon IA which was the last rodeo of our 4th run. Didn’t do very good there but ended up winning money at 3 out of the 5 rodeos we went to this year. Gonna take the next week off and let the horses rest then off to Gillette WY for the high school finals.

Sitting 3rd in Bloomfield right now with I steer wrestler left tomorrow. Leon Ia tomorrow night.

The draw is out for the National High School Finals. Kent will be up Wednesday morning July 19 for his 1st round and Wednesday evening for his 2nd one.

Had a little tough luck in the mud at Ottumwa IA last night. Run one in Bloomfield IA tonight.

Started the 4th of July run off on a good note. Got a little of it in Eureka kS at the Top Hand rodeo Saturday morning and won White Cloud KS Saturday night. Ottumwa Ia tonight.

A little late posting but got the win at Gardner KS last weekend.

Finished senior year of Kansas High School Rodeo as the State Champion Steer Wrestler! Won 2nd in the first round, won the short round and won the average. Also won 3rd in the second round in the team roping. One last National High School Finals in Gillette WY in July. Thanks to everyone that’s supported and help through Jr High and High school rodeo, there are too many to mention.

Didn’t have any luck this weekend at the Coffeyville high school rodeo in the steer wrestling. Did get them on Sunday in the team roping for 2nd.

Won the second day at the Dodge City HS rodeo also and won the average.
