CJ's Stable is Located in Manton, MI and provides Trail Rides, Sleigh Rides, Carriage Rides, basic beginner lessons, as well as off site events such as weddings, birthdays, family reunions, etc. The Stable is approx 5 min from Lake city, 25 min from Cadillac, and 45 min from Houghton Lake and Traverse City.

She’s been away at training for trail riding the past few weeks and is coming along slowly but surely. Every week she’s gaining more confidence, learning more, and settling into herself. Excited to keep watching her progress and see how she continues to grow 💚🐴

This summer, with our family growing (both human and horse 🐴🤍), we’re taking a step back to focus on training, care, and a little extra time at home.

Because of this, we will not be offering trail rides for the 2026 season.

We will still be offering wagon rides throughout the summer and would love to have you join us for a visit to the farm!

On March 16th, during the ice storm, our beautiful Mae welcomed her little foal into the world! We’re a little late sharing, but we’re so excited to introduce this sweet little guy. He’ll be joining us for our Meet-Greet-and-Groom sessions soon!

I know many of you have asked about Sky’s baby. She had hers on March 20th, but sadly, her foal didn’t make it👼🐴. That was very hard for us, so we are cherishing every moment with Mae’s little one. Sky was very upset but is doing better now and Star ⭐️ is keeping her company.

We are looking forward to nicer weather, soaking up as much time with Mae’s foal as we can 🥰. But we still have not been able to decide on a name. Any suggestions are welcomed. Right now Cash is the winner.

🐴 We were able to sneak out for a short trail ride yesterday with Baby ⭐️ and Gunner!

Some sections of the trail were still a little too icy to safely ride, so we kept it short and took it slow.

Back at the barn, Buster & Beau enjoyed a good brushing session. Everyone is starting to shed those winter coats, which means spring is on the way! ☀️

There is something incredibly calming about spending quiet time with a horse.

Their steady presence naturally slows us down, reduces stress, and creates a sense of connection you just can’t find anywhere else.

We are hoping for some nice weather soon 🤞to have a few Meet, Greet & Groom sessions!

During your visit, you’ll choose a horse, spend time brushing them, learning their personality, loving on them, and finishing with their favorite snacks 🥕🍎

This experience is grounding and peaceful for you — and incredibly beneficial for them. Brushing supports coat health, circulation, and gives them the focused one-on-one attention they truly thrive on.

Our senior horses (Buster & Beau) especially enjoy these sessions as they age and require a little extra care.
