Sanpete County Fair Sweetheart and Jr. Princess Rodeo Royalty

August is Sanpete County Fair time! Which means it’s also time for our rodeo sweetheart and princess tryouts! We have had great success in the past incorporating tryouts into the fair. We love to have our community come out and support and also be apart of tryouts (does not take into final tally for crowning). We have wonderful, knowledgeable, and professional judges that will score fairly and efficiently. We also have a great committee this year that will help tryouts, as well as events throughout the year run smoothly.

Contestants will be judged on;
- Horsemanship pattern & interview
- Flag pattern (sweethearts only)
- “wow the crowd”
- Short speech
- Personal interviews

We recently held our first annual SANPETE COUNTY MINI RODEO PRINCESS contest. These adorable little cowgirls were judged on a simple modeling pattern, a stick horse reining pattern and an interview/speech. Watch for these little cowgirls at different activities during the fair!

Congratulations to all these little minis and to their parents for all the help.

Also, a huge THANK YOU to Miss Sanpete County Teen 2024, Maddie Moulton, and the 2025 Sanpete County Rodeo Sweetheart Royalty Kenley Kelso and Oaklee Harwood for all their help judging and crowning these cute little girls!

Saturday August 9th our 2025 -2026 Sanpete County Fair Rodeo Sweetheart and Princess royalties were crowned. These amazing girls competed in horsemanship, interview, flags, and a “wow the crowd.”
