Hap finished his season on the new boat with a great day. We put a many a mile on the new rig this year. Today was also a first as it was our new mate Ellis first day fishing with us. Most know who he is as he’s been down the dock from us for 6 years with my buddy Karl on the Fistful. He had the pleasure of sharing the cockpit with my good buddy Scotty who has been helping us out since JT left. Thanks Scotty for all you have done for us. We will start our prep for Costa Rica next week. Can’t wait to get back over there.

We have had a weeks worth of wind and it looks like a few more days of it to come. But I wanted to take a minute to say something. JT finished up his time on the Haphazard a couple weeks ago. He is moving on to take over his own program/boat. From all of us, I wanted to say thank you for a job well done. When he started we both were kind of in a bind and it ended up being a blessing. Never once did he complain about anything, question anything I said, or have a bad attitude. It was so nice to never question anything going on downstairs. JT will do great with his next venture, as he proved that when he ran the boat for me when I was away. We hate to lose you but we can’t wait to see you on the rip. Thanks again my friend.

What a fun day with the Bayliss family, Smith, and Jill. We fished the Community Care Clinic tournament and were lucky enough to have some bites. We finished 2nd, Paige got Top Lady Angler and Smith got Top Junior Angler!! Like Scotty said…it doesn’t feel like work when you are having fun fishing with great friends.

Thursday I did a great job of driving around the fish but we did a little better today. Can’t wait to get back out there...

Saturday we had a group of guys from Bayliss Boatworks go with us. We started the day with a big school of dolphin and spent the rest of it picking at the white marlin. It’s always nice to take people who work in our industry but don’t get to get out and see the fishing as much as they would like. It takes a lot of people to keep us going and we appreciate each one of you. It’s blowing NE now and all those white marlin that my buddies in Ocean City have been catching will be coming this way. I’m open Wednesday and Thursday. Let’s get after them!!!

Marked a lot of fish today but not as many bites as the last couple days. We still ended up with a good day. This afternoon I got word of some really, really good fishing 100 miles above us. We are going to have some NE wind starting tomorrow evening and lasting till Tuesday or so. I’m open Wednesday and Thursday of next week. Could be good!!!

I was really fortunate to experience some great white marlin fishing as a mate and I always said…nothing is better than having world class marlin fishing and sleeping in my own bed. There are fish above us moving this way. Don’t miss out. It’s been too long. I sure have missed these things.

We spent the last two weeks fishing the Pirates Cove tournament and the Virginia Beach tournament. We had fun but we didn’t collect any checks. Now it’s time to get after them. The white marlin have made a come back in the mid Atlantic this year and there has been incredible fishing from Massachusetts to Oregon Inlet. I have plenty of days open if anyone is interested in world class fishing in our backyard.
