Parents I’ve had trouble with Sharks FB PAGE. There are 2 I’ve tried to delete the one and still can’t get it deleted. The one we use is the one with a Shark Jersey 10 on it. Anyway Deb will be e-mailing this info to u all also.
Some how this Jamboree info got deleted so will try again.
Location:
Ames High School Football Field --
1801 Ridgewood Ave, Ames, IA 50010
(Stadium is at the south end of the highschool.)
We ask players to be there an hour before hand dressed and ready to go!!!
Set up will be north of stadium just outside fence in the grass area.
Try to stay along the fence that way teams can warm up on grass if they do not prefer to use the turf practice field.
Officials & Field Staff/game details:
We will have 2 officials on each field. Our officials will be our Highschool football players. We intend to let the kids play and learn. Flags will be thrown only on safety concerns and affected plays. Our refs will let your player know what they did wrong. Flag on the play will just bring the ball to original spot and play will continue. Field will be split up in two fields east and west. Ball will start on 40 yard line going into the endzones. No down marker or first downs will be tracked. Turnovers will result in restarting at the 40 yard line. Each team will have 15 min of offense and 15 min of defense. Coaches are allowed on the field. No field goals allowed as it eats up time. After your game please get your things and exit the field immediately so the next teams can start. Please try and stay off track as much as possible as it is brand new. Spectators need to be in the stands. The field is for players and coaches only.
Game Day Amenities Details:
Bathrooms and Concession stands will be open and available throughout the day. Concessions will be serving drinks and candy. We will have multiple food trucks on site inside the stadium. A taco truck, BBQ truck, ice-cream truck and, kona ice.
There is a turf field just north of the stadium for warm ups (see attached map). There is also grass in between practice field and stadium if you feel like warming up there prior to your game) We have a brand new turf game field and track so please be respectful no gum, seeds, trash ect. Please make sure all trash is picked up off your sideline prior to you leaving. There will be water on both sidelines for your team throughout the day. This is a multi million dollar facility we hope everyone enjoys the facilities but is also respectful of our entire site.
Entry/weigh-ins: At the east gate there will be a table with a greeter there. They will be directing you where you can weigh in, set up ect. We will have 2 weigh in stations to make everything more efficient.
