Haven’t shot in a couple weeks or so, letting my hands rest. So I go out and nail the target six out of ten at 30 feet. The four misses were barely. I think the break did me good and I don’t need to shoot as much as I thought I did. Pretty confident for the coming rabbit season.

Haven’t been posting because I haven’t been making any slingshots because my hands been hurting really bad making them every day. It’s time I’m also getting vinegars made for next year’s markets. I’m enjoying seeing others slinging though.

The worst thing I ever did was shooting close in the house from a chair. I thought if I could hit dead on target it would translate to longer distance targets.

Not so, not even close. So I quit shooting indoors and started practicing outdoors at least 30 feet from target. It’s like I had to learn all over again.

I was getting frustrated then something just clicked and though I still have the ever so often stray shot I’m pretty consistently on targets.

Killing plastic snus cans and I mean those things blow up after a few BB hits. A mandarin orange can and plastic tea bottle lids made into spinners can take a pounding.

I thought it was just this new slingshot but doing the same with my Simple Shot LT2. Been shooting SS Clay bands all day. Actually I haven’t touched Lite bands in several days!

It’s a lot more fun when you’re hitting targets. Soon I’ll try moving up to general purpose bands and 3/8 steel. Going to need a better catch box.

Flexible band aid material covering the pouch hole so sand doesn’t run out. Pour a pinch in from a honey bear bottle and go hunting!

Heck with aiming. I’m too shaky. I shoot better with the sling forks at 45 degrees, both eyes open looking at target. So I see two left fork images and put the target between the tips of them. Also done with Airsoft BB’s. I can see them curving. Steel BB’s are a lot more accurate.

I’m also done shooting at ten feet in the house. Thirty feet outside or I ain’t shooting. I hit a grasshopper on a muscadine post poor fella. I should’ve cooked him up in Cavender’s and soy sauce but then I would’ve wanted a hundred. You can’t just eat one grasshopper. 😄
