817 Soldiers 817 Soldiers We serve ages 10u - 18u. We are always looking for dedicated families to join our unique organization.

817 Sports is a select baseball organization based in the baseball capital of the world Mansfield, Texas and the surrounding areas of the DFW Metroplex. Families are provided with 24 hour access to our Baseball facility. Families also provided Catcher's Lessons, Yoga Instruction, and much more in their team fees. We have some of the hardest working coaches in the area. We specialize in providing a

private school setting for the game of baseball. We are a small org dedicated to giving our students the most attention and personal instruction. At 817 Sports your student is more than a number, a filler on a roster, they are a member of our exclusive family. This is why SugaršŸ»52 is more advanced in baseball than most kids, not only his age, but high school as well when it comes to IQ and flat out in game skill.

He/We practice way more than we play. We practice on video games for IQ, in the backyard for skill set, in his team practices for chemistry and in the gym for physical skills

He may not even play baseball again after this season, but the foundation of what it takes in practices can transfer to any aspect of society

Yā€™all keep playing every weekend wasting 16 hours of static time waiting for 4-6 at bats, 5-10 reps on defense, coaches over pitching your kid, and useless 10mins of counter productive warm ups

We just gonna be over here practicing until he doesnā€™t wanna play anymore, the game tells him he canā€™t play anymore or God-willing he gets to the highest level he was called to get to

We will play a combination of AAA/Open/Majors 13U and 14U with NCS and Perfect Game

We will practice Tuesday 7:15-9pm (Mansfield) & Thursday 6:30-8:30 (Mesquite)

Tenative Spring Tournament Schedule:

- March 21/22 (PG North Texas Super Regional NIT 54/80)

Our competitive 13U baseball team is holding private tryouts to add two players to complete our spring roster. We compete at a high level (All open tournaments in spring) and are looking for dedicated athletes ready to develop and contribute right away. We are looking for 2 athletes looking for the best overall physical and mental training/coaching in south DFW (Mansfield/Arlington/GP/Midlothian etc)

I put thie below message out back in August, but it still applies for the spring or any season.

The cost for the season is more for spring because its 3 months longer, but the concept is the same. If your coach(s) organization cant be honest and break down where your money is being spent then thats a red flag

***PERSPECTIVE***
When choosing a coach (yes choosing a coach is more important than choosing an organization) to hand your child over to, look at it this way. Is he or she worth the price of admission?
I will use myslef as an exampleā€¦

I just started a 9U team
- Fall season Aug 10-Nov 14
- 28 total practices (2hrs each)
- 20 total games (90 min each) 5 Tournaments
- Sanction(s) registrations
- Team Insurance
- Baseballs
- Coaching Fee
- $1000 for the season for a family

I (your coach) will train, coach, educate, teach and mentor your child for $20.83 per practice/game. Thatā€™s at or slightly above minimum wages

Based on this format, a coach will be with a player a minimum of 56 times in 3 months, 86hrs minimum (in between games on the weekend or out of town tournaments not included).

I (your coach) could possibly be spending more quality time with your child in a 3 month span than you

Ask yourself, am I (your coach) worth $21 every time you drop them off?

Is the knowledge, mental and physical development, conditioning and life lessons worth $21 per session

Hopefully my openness will help others choose wisely

ISO someone, a field crew or a landscaper(s) to line, chalk (Spray paint), and edge up a proper foul line for my 46/65 & 50/70 infield

The field and cage will also be available to rent for instructors giving lessons or teams looking to practice
