Little K Acres

Little K Acres Affordable Western Horseback Riding Lessons, Horse Training, Birthday Parties, Horse Boarding and Horse Camps We teach beginner thru advanced riders.

I have been riding competitively for over 20 years. My father, Jay Hasbrouck, strived to get me professional lessons at a young age so that I would be able to advance in barrel racing. I began giving riding lessons and training outside horses since 1997. I also give barrel racing lessons and pole bending lessons. I will provide the horses and the tack or you can bring your own. I charge $50 for gr

oup lessons and $70 for private lessons. All lessons are 45 minutes long. I teach horsmanship along with the saddle time. The student has the opportunity to groom the horse, clean out the hooves and saddle before and after riding. I'm big on safety and having full control of the horse so the first lesson may be spent mostly in the round pen so I can see how well you work with the horse and what you already know. We also host parties here at our facility! We offer hand led horse rides, a small petting zoo and horse painting as options. We also have a nice boarding facility if you’re interested in boarding your horse. If you have any other questions please contact me anytime. 817-946-2180

Day 2 of Session 2 couldn’t have gone any better! ✨
Today, every camper seemed even more confident and comfortable as they continued building their horsemanship skills and friendships.

The morning started with campers working together to groom and saddle their horses before heading into their riding lessons. During their rides, they picked up a little more speed, started trotting and continued improving the skills they learned on Day 1.

In their ground lesson, campers learned how to catch, lead and safely tie our mini animals. They even put their new skills to the test with a fun mini horse race!

After unsaddling and cooling down the horses, campers helped with a few barn chores before enjoying some well-earned fun. We wrapped up the day with an exciting water race and a scavenger hunt that had everyone smiling.

This week has been full of laughter, learning, and unforgettable memories already. We can’t believe we’re already halfway through camp!

Day 1 of Session 2 was a huge success! ✨🐴

Today our campers met their horses for the week and started building their riding skills. They learned how to stop, turn, back up, and even began trotting while getting to know their horses.

During their ground lesson, campers learned how to saddle their horses before competing in teams to saddle and race to tie their Texas T-knots! They also got a behind-the-scenes look inside our horse trailers and learned about different pieces of tack, including over-unders, breast collars, and bell boots.

After riding, campers learned how to properly hose off their horses and got the chance to cool down their own camp horse. We also spent some time learning about the daily chores that help keep the farm running.

To beat the heat, we cooled off with a game of Tug-of-War and our favorite unicorn sprinkler, Princess Sparkle Boots! 🦄

The day wrapped up with an introduction to roping and our campers did a fantastic job! We finished the day with one of everyone’s favorite activities, horse painting with Dolly Parton and Lucy! 🎨🐴

What an incredible start to a new camp week! We can’t wait to see what the rest of the week brings.

Our final day of Horse Camp was a huge success! 🐴

This morning, our campers gave the horses baths and braided their manes and tails to get them looking picture perfect for our Parent Showcase. Campers were super excited to get to meet our newest chick that hatched overnight!🐣 We also squeezed in a few horse-related games before showing off everything we learned this week!

We are so proud of how much these campers learned and how much confidence they gained over the last four days. Thank you to all of our camp families for sharing your kids with us this week! We had an amazing time and can't wait to do it again next week!

If you took pictures today please be sure to tag us and post your favorite in the comments!

Day 3 of Horse Camp is in the books, and we can’t believe tomorrow is already our last day! 🐴☀️

Today, campers saddled their own horses, continued building confidence in the saddle, and learned more about horse care, colors, and parts of the horse. We are so proud of the progress each rider is making!

After cooling off the horses, campers had a blast running patterns while pretending to be horses themselves, then wrapped up the day with plenty of cuddles from our newest baby goats. 🐐❤️

Watching these kids grow in confidence, independence, and horsemanship in just three days has been amazing!

We can’t wait for our Parent Showcase tomorrow at 11 AM and to show off everything they’ve learned this week. Be sure to tag us in your photos, we’d love to see them! 📸✨

Day 2 of our first week of Horse Camp is in the books, and somehow it was even more fun than Day 1! 🤩

Our campers started the day by saddling their own horses before heading straight into a full riding lesson. Today they expanded their riding knowledge, built confidence, and everyone started picking up a little more speed! 🐎
During our ground lesson, campers worked with our mini animals and learned how to properly use a halter to catch and tie them. 🐷🫏🐴

Of course, we also covered some of the daily horse chores that help keep our horses healthy and happy. But after the work came the fun! We cooled off with an epic water blaster battle and wrapped up the day with a huge scavenger hunt! 💦🔍

Day 2 was a huge success and we can’t wait to see what tomorrow has in store!

Day 1 of our first summer horse camp for 2026 is in the books, and it was such a great day! ☀️🐴

Our campers participated in a full riding lesson where they worked on horse control, learning all of our different speed patterns, and how to stop and back their horses independently. Some even started trotting already! 🐎
During their full ground lesson, campers learned how to properly saddle a horse and the proper tack to use.
They were all able to help unsaddle their horses, clean out hooves and hose them down after their rides!

Of course, we made time for plenty of fun too! The campers cooled off in the unicorn sprinkler, got an introduction to roping and even painted two of our favorite horses, Dolly Parton and Lucy! 🎨🦄💦

We are so proud of everything they learned on their very first day and can't wait to see what the rest of the week has in store! ❤️🐴
