I am going to be looking for all of DeSoto Parish at the Juneteenth Festival. What a reason to celebrate the day we were freed from slavery. People give their lives for us to be able to celebrate this day. This is the reason I keep on fighting. I can hear my people saying Free at last, Free at last, Thank God almighty, We free at last. Now come on down and celebrate! Real Talk!!!!!!

This week we are voting on the renewal of the Landfill tax. I always told you all I would speak the truth on how things are done with the Jury. First, let me say I hate deception. I believe in telling the taxpayers the truth. Truthfully, they are asking you to renew a tax for the landfill only to take the money to use it for other things. They have already taken a large sum of money from the landfill and put it in a shrinking fund to build a new jail. Why not ask the taxpayers if they wanted a new Jail. They knew you all wouldn't pass a tax for that so they deceived you into renewing the landfill tax so they would have enough money to finance a 30 million-dollar jail. Also, they allowed thousands and thousands of dollars to be taken out of the landfill in scrap iron only to give the bid back to the person who took the money from us. Not to mention the $2 million glitch at the Landfill that was never truly explained. If you renew the tax for the Landfill that's what it should be used for. Why? would they deceive the people when they know the plan well? Just last night they voted to sell the taxpayer's property for a little of nothing. But they want you to think it's at the fair market value of Ten Thousand dollars an acre. We sold the property in 2010 for Twenty Thousand an acre and just a good 1/2 a mile down the road. This will hurt the land sales in this area for years. To top it off they are buying this property with taxpayer's dollars. So the taxpayers are buying their own property. They also voted to give that money to the jail fund. They didn't follow the proper procedures during that. They are just doing what they want with the taxpayer's money. They could care less what the people think, yet they want you to keep giving them money to waste to build extravagant office buildings that we won't need. De Soto Parish will soon have more top-of-the-line gyms than Plant Fitness. They have gotten who we work for. You the taxpayer and Taxpayers should always be put first. Real talk!!!!!!

If you are riding a horse in the Mansfield Christmas Parade or you would like to camp out Fri night and hang out Sat after the parade. Bring your pits and fish fryers and join the fun. We will be at the Mansfield City Park across from the 911 building. We will ride after the parade. After that, we will be at the Classic C during what we do.
