Currently under the direction of the Duff’s daughter Wendy and her husband, Dudley Hamlin, the camp has gained the trust of three generations of families to mentor their children, to provide for their physical and emotional

The second half of Beach Carnival Day brought pure summer joy! Slip ’n slide races, a splashy sponge toss, sweet snow cones, and cheers from the counselor dunk tank. Big thanks to the Mansfield Fire Dept for making it rain on a sunny afternoon! 🚒

It’s also our very last day of camp for the season. Days like this remind us why we do what we do: giving campers a place to play freely, try new things, and end the summer feeling braver, happier, and more connected to each other.

Thank you to every camper, counselor, and family for making this a summer worth celebrating. 💛💙

Our final theme "Special Day" of the summer — Beach Carnival Day — brings sunshine, laughter, and a whole lot of friendly competition.

From a “big game” (victory red!) of Capture the Flag that had everyone running, strategizing, and cheering, to a special morning floatie swim that turned the pool into a sea of smiles, it was the perfect way to start wrapping up our summer celebrations.

Here’s to just a few more days of fun, friendship, and making memories that will carry us into the school year. ❤💙

Speed, splash, and spirit! Campers gave it their all in Wednesday morning’s track and swim events—and the JC/JST relay brought some of the loudest cheers of the day. We saw courage, teamwork, and plenty of goofy running faces. That’s the Holiday Hill way! 🏁💙

🏅Let the games begin! Our Olympic Opening Ceremony kicked off a Wednesday of fun, friendship, and fierce (but friendly!) competition. From handmade banners to a heartfelt oath, campers marched in with pride and left ready to give their best. More to share soon! Go teams! 🤍💙

Even in the heat and humidity, our campers showed big time for Flashback Day! Our "big game" of Capture the Flag brought out fierce teamwork and determination. And during Lip Sync, every group took a chance—some with moves, some with swagger—and found support and celebration onstage. It was a day full of sweat, heart, and fun 😀

The weather gave us a little of everything—hot sun, a good rain, and now a beautiful summer day. Through it all, children and adults alike have stayed curious, kind, and ready to play.

☀️ Counselor Spotlight: Meet Aidan!

Aidan has been part of Holiday Hill for 11 summers—first as a camper, now as a counselor!

He loves:
🎶 Singing at Camp Meeting
🏊 Swimming in the pool
🧗‍♂️ Ropes course adventures
😊 Hanging out with campers

One of his favorite camp memories? Being trusted to clip himself in on the ropes course as a camper. That trust helped him feel confident and capable—something he now works to pass on to every camper he meets.

“Camp helps everyone be themselves—curious, creative, and kind.”

🎒 Fun Fact: Aidan says working with kids helps him keep the best parts of childhood alive.

Counselor Spotlight: He Came for the Sports—He Stayed for the Song.

Meet Danny! He’s heading into his senior year at Tolland High, and this summer marks his second as a Holiday Hill counselor. His younger brother’s a camper, so he’s seen the magic of camp from both sides. It’s part of what keeps him coming back!

What Danny loves most at camp are the basics: being outside, playing sports, and spending his day with kids who bring honesty, energy, and endless curiosity. He takes pride in being someone they can look up to–especially when he’s encouraging them to try something new or make a friend they might not have met anywhere else.

When Danny first came to camp, he didn’t know what to expect. But the way others welcomed him, showed him the ropes, and introduced him to traditions like the Holiday Hill song made a lasting impression. Now he’s excited to do the same for this year’s campers!
