I'm sorry, this is going to be a long one. We had a meeting Tuesday night talking about IEA, summer horse shows, hidden pond shows, fundraising and away shows.
For horse shows: (home shows)
Entries/Classes are $25 a class
Lease fee $75
Grooming $30 (plus tip)
Training $74
NES $5 ($60 TO SIGN UP)
(Off property)
Entries unfortunately vary depending on the venue we are going to. We won't know tol they release the amount.
Trailering starts $175 (depends on distance)
Lease $100
Groom $75 (plus tip)
Training $85
*****all students are required to supply their own supplies and poultice. ALL STUDENTS THAT ARE JUNPING MUST SHOW UP THE DAY AFTER A SHOW TO UNDO WRAPS AND POULTICE!
*****In order to show, you need to have a lesson in the same week.
IEA Season:
1 hrs group lessons are $60 each or $300 for the package. These are done 2x a month.
Entry/Class $45 a class
Trainer fee $75
Need to do 5 shows
*****NEW! The girls will need to have a certain amount of hours in community service at the farm to get their awards at the end of the yeah. Truthfully this should be easy. Most of the girls are helping at every show, pony camp, etc.
Catrina will leave sheets in the tack room for every girl. Just sign the sheet with your hours and what you did. It will be calculated monthly.
****We will try to give a heads up on the shows we would like to do but sometimes our Entries can get denied. We understand everyone likes to plan their schedules but unfortunately that is the nature of IEA.
Fundraising Ideas:
We not only need to fundraise for our team but also the region.
Even though we had a fantastic year with fundraising, we want to do things a little more simple for everyone. Try to do less, make more, and have more fun.
For regionals:
(We don't know our region til august)
Everyone will get a booklet of 15 tickets to sell ($20 each)
We will be raffling off a yeti cooler.
Each family will get a booklet. It is $300 value. $200 goes towards the regional and $100 goes towards your student. You can use it for lessons, shows, etc.
Catrina will be in charge of regional fundraising for all the teams and getting everyone on board.
(**this will not be the case if old towne equestrian is in out region)
The fundraising goes to the girls prizes, ribbons, end of year dinner, dj, etc.
The Hidden Pond IEA Team fundraisers will be for only our team.
1. Football boy fundraiser (jan-feb)
2. Easter egg hunt at the farm
3. Move night may 10th
(The girls will be selling popcorn and snacks to raise funds.
4. Summer riding challenge online
5. Winter riding challenge
***it is very important we have everyone on board to help us out, especially the kids. These fundraisers pay the team fees for the IEA, horses that are needed at every venue and travel fees for our girls past regional.
We did so well this past year, the girls were able to get jackets and saddle pads as gifts!
*** If you child didn't get a 'show team' jacket, please let carolyn know when the hidden pond store opens up in the fall.
