Goodbye doesn’t quite feel right, as Austin will always be home. But I am excited (and truthful almost relieved) to be moving to Ocala; it’s like finally I’m going to be where I need to be to really do this Eventing thing. I will dearly miss my clients and their horses so much, I really have had the best people in my life since opening Emerald Hill in 2013, from clients to working students and employees, incredible veterinarians, farriers, equine body workers and of course all of Area V. I have been so lucky. They have taught me so much and I would not be where I’m at today without each and everyone one of them. Sincerely thank you to everyone who has been a part of the EHE family 🥰💕

What a magical weekend our team had at Pine Hill’s STEA show!! Stella and Chilly finished FIRST at their Training level debut and Deanna rode like an absolute boss her first time back in competition since her injury. Andddd at the South TX Eventing Association end of the year awards ceremony Millie got CHAMPION for Junior Novice. So much fun had by our friends who came to help and cheer us on too! I am honored to have such wonderful students, teammates and supporters 💕

Mending Fences aka “Fendi” is a stunning, 16.1h 2013 Thoroughbred gelding. Absolutely as fancy as they come! Big, scopey brave jumper and a pretty mover with a big lofty step; Fendi is very eye catching in the ring!

Currently in full training and showing under a professional and competing as an Eventer at the Beginner Novice level (2’7) with plans to move up to Novice (2’11) this fall if not sold.

Fendi will finish out as a competitive Training level eventer or meter jumper, he could also be finished out as a hunter or dressage horse as he is very willing and trainable and has a very steady way of going and a big, gorgeous jump.

This horse is still green, is a sensitive, forward type and is NOT for a timid or green rider and will need to be finished out by a competent amateur in a very consistent training program.

Fendi does have some arthritis in his front fetlocks and hocks, which is easily managed but will keep him out of the upper levels. He also prefers to go in pads on his front feet. With proper veterinary and farrier care he stays very sound in a full workload. He is also a cribber when stabled. Price reflects these defects.

Those into thoroughbred pedigree will love his breeding! (Sired by Colonel John, Dam is sired by Lemon Drop Kid) Originally sold for $65k as a yearling and earned over $100k on the track.

Located in Austin TX, priced in the low 5s. (Price is subject to increase as his training advances, if not sold by the end of the fall.)

*He will be competing at Empire Acers Hunter Jumper show on Saturday 10/8 and at the Pine Hill USEA on 10/15.

The girls both had a tremendous time and fabulous runs this last weekend at Meadow Creek Park!

They also got to volunteer to jump judge for their very first time and learned tons and had a wonderful experience giving back to the sport. It’s so important for everyone competing in the sport to show their support and learn what happens behind the scenes to create the riding and competition experience we all love.
Let me say it real loud for the kids in the back-appreciate what goes into these competitions!!! If you like keeping entry fees lower than h/j and dressage shows??? Like having a sense of community within the sport?? VOLUNTEER!!!

Has many miles at Beginner Novice and moved up to Novice early this year. Schooling Training level cross-country.

This is a partial lease where she will be shared with her amateur owner, and therefore she must remain in training and board with Emerald Hill Eventing (EHE) in Manor, TX. Included with the lease are three private/semi-private lessons per week with trainer, Jenna Traeger.

This is a great opportunity for someone who wants a competition ready and capable horse. EHE attends most Area V USEA events and local schooling horse trials at popular venues (Pine Hill, MCP, TxRose, Willow Draw). Cross-country schooling days are also regularly scheduled. The chance to show in some local jumper shows is also available.

Not for timid riders or beginners, the best rider for her will appreciate a forward, sensitive horse. May prefers a light hand and seat and someone with finesse. Extremely game to jump and gallop across country.

EHE is located at Empire Acres, a beautiful facility that boasts both covered and outdoor riding arenas, a dressage arena, and riding field with a few cross-country jumps.

Happy Gotcha Day to our sweet little Tommy. Spent the weekend xc schooling and he really blossomed. He’s come such a long way in one year..from a tight muscled, sore backed racehorse to now developing into a true sport horse. So proud of you Tom!! I love you my sweet little buddy💕

I’ve found that stretching the horse’s back in this long, low and forward frame makes a big difference in the horse’s relaxation, core strength and overall confidence under saddle. It’s like horsey yoga. Tommy had a chronic tight back until we began this work, first with Hope Davis teaching him to stretch on the lunge line. You can see in the pics how happy, elastic and free he is throughout his whole body 💕
