Kinesiology tape, or k-tape, does many things for your horse!

How it works:
The tape sticks to the hair, it lifts the skin which results in a decompression effect on the underlying tissues - fascia, muscle, nerves, lymphatic system, and joints.

What it does:
Decompresses tissue, increases circulation, improves lymphatic function, joint support, pain relief, improves muscle and joint recovery, relaxes muscles and trigger points, fascial unwinding, edema management, and facilitates restoration of meridian energy flow.

The tape communicates with the brain through the mechanoreceptors in the skin. Mechanoreceptors are receptors that tells the brain what the body is sensing.

K-tape is a great way to support your horse's well being resulting in happy horses. 🐎

Fascia taping.

This application helps to reduce pain by providing a different input into the brain, meaning the brain receives information from the skin about the tape on it rather than the pain from stricted movement. Due to decreased pain, movement quality is often improved resulting in a happy horse. 😊

Think of the horse’s neck not as a position, but as a living, moving activity.

The neck is never meant to be fixed or held in place. It should always have room to lengthen, shorten, and subtly adjust as the horse balances and reorganizes the body underneath the rider. Those small changes are not mistakes. They are signs the horse is working to find comfort, efficiency, and better use of its body.

When we try to lock the neck into a shape, we take away the horse’s ability to self-organize. When we allow it to stay dynamic, the back can swing, the balance can shift, and movement becomes more functional and sustainable.

Riders who understand this principle are not chasing a look. They are supporting a process. The result is a horse that moves more freely, stays sounder longer, and is a happier horse in its work.

Good riding leaves room for the horse to adjust.

Circulation taping.

This application is great for muscle recovery (hard working performance horses) and edema. It increases blood flow which speeds healing along with reducing pain and fatigue. For edema, this application supports the lymphatic system and helps reduce swelling and pain. 🙌
