Mannford Wrestling is excited to announce the addition of former Lady Pirate wrestler and girls wrestling trailblazer, Aubrey Merrell, as our new Girls Assistant Coach!

Aubrey was a 3-time state qualifier and made history as the first Lady Pirate to wrestle at the collegiate level. Her experience, passion, and dedication to girls wrestling make her a tremendous addition to our coaching staff.

Along with coaching the Junior High and Varsity girls wrestling teams, Aubrey will also serve as an Assistant Cheer Coach and work as a Teacher’s Assistant at the Lower Elementary.

We are thrilled to welcome Aubrey back to the Pirate family! We know she will be an incredible role model for our young athletes and an important part of continuing to grow girls wrestling at Mannford.

Welcome home, Aubrey! 🏴‍☠️

Mannford Wrestling was proudly represented at the 2026 OCA All-State Wrestling Match!
All-State wrestlers Jayden Jenkins and Maggie Beaird showcased their talents on Oklahoma’s biggest stage, while Lady Pirate Head Coach Ottawa Cochran was named the OCA Region 2 Girls Coach of the Year for the second consecutive year.

A special photo shows Jayden and Maggie with their new All-State rings alongside Coach Cochran, who also displays his rings from competing in the 1988 OCA All-State Games and serving as the 2009 Large School Boys East All-State Coach.

Lady Pirate Wrestling Summer Pride 2026 is officially in the books! 💜🤍

What an incredible way to wrap up the summer with our 2nd Annual All-Girls Camp! It was a huge success and a great day filled with technique, wrestling, pizza, games, and plenty of laughs with Just Dance.

A gigantic thank you to our Lady Pirate alumni Aubrey Merrell, Maggie Beaird, and Shelby Glassco for coming back to pour into the next generation and running an outstanding camp. Your leadership, knowledge, and love for this program made the day truly special.

The first half of Summer Pride is in the books!

This week, we took nine Lady Pirates to the Carl Albert State College/Oologah Girls Camp to wrap up the first half of our summer training.

Since May 18th, 13 Lady Pirates have dedicated part of their summer to getting better. Together they attended several—or all—of our 20 open mats and lifting sessions.
Five wrestlers also competed at the Cushing Team Camp, one attended the OSU Epos Camp, and another challenged herself at the intense Farm Camp in Stillwater.

Proud of the commitment, work ethic, and determination these young ladies have shown all summer. Enjoy your well-deserved break, ladies—you’ve earned it!

We’ll be back at it on July 6. Go Lady Pirates! 💜💛
