Congrats to the FMLL 10U team for raising $1494 for the Scott Tokessy Memorial fund. This is a great lesson for our kids, each year, that this is about more than just baseball. This tournament is “dedicated to the memory of the young athlete from Kanata; the tournament was established in 1996 in memory of Scott Tokessy, a twelve-year-old boy who died suddenly of an irregular heartbeat after hitting a home run for his house league team […] This tournament is a lasting tribute to a young man who exhibited all the characteristics and ideals of Little League Baseball: sportsmanship, fair play, hustle and dedication. Since 1996, this charity event has developed into one of the premier Little League Baseball Tournaments in Ontario. Last year’s tournament raised $30,000 [for the] Cardiology Department at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO)…” (Tokessytournament.com). Great job representing our league, 10U players and coaches! You’ve made us proud! 💚🤍

Good luck to the FM 10U team, as they head to Ottawa to compete in the Scott Tokessy Memorial Gold Glove Tournament! Each year, the team participates in the tournament, competes against some great Canadian teams, and maybe eats a few beaver tails along the way (IYKYK 🦫)!

Go get ‘em, 10U, and enjoy making memories that will last a lifetime. 🇨🇦🇺🇸

On behalf of FMLL, we want to say a huge “THANK YOU” to the Lankford Family and Radiant Church Church for putting in some much needed work at the Brooklea Fields in Manlius this week. They teamed up with guests from Currey Creek Church in Texas and from Central Baptist Church in Jonesboro,Arkansas over the course of two days. They weeded the raised flower beds, pulled weeds around the dugouts, and cleaned up around the fences and under all the bleachers. They also swept and cleaned out all four dugouts. What a lovely, unexpected mid summer “glow up”, and we appreciate it! THANK YOU! 🙏

Hey parents! 📲 Already sick of the amount of screen time your kid has seen this summer, and it’s only the beginning of break? No? Just me? 😵‍💫 Good news! There are still a few spots open in next week’s FM Baseball Camp! ⚾️ It’s run by the Varsity program, and it’s a kid favorite every year! There are often even appearances by college level players! 📋 Register now at the Town of Manlius Recreation Website, Rec Desk!

“It ain’t over till it’s over!”- Yogi Berra (and Coach Kuss, probably)

💚Last night was one for the books, with the FM 12U team down 7-0 to Geddes going into the bottom of the 5th inning. 🔥 That’s when the FM bats got hot, and the team put 12 runs on the board to pull ahead. We had broken bats, birthday bats, and even a home run (s/o Logan C.) to keep the party going.

⚾️The final score of 8-12 and an FM Victory just proves, more than anything, that baseball is a game of hope. Anything can happen, including a big win just when you need it. Congrats, Hornets!

🍀 FM 12U is back in action tonight at 6pm against B’ville, in B’ville.

✏️ 🍎 📓 If stores can start putting out school supplies, we can start taking FALL BALL REGISTRATION! Don’t wait, as reg will close August 2nd!

⚾️ Our Baseball Fall Ball is open for 7 year old's that are currently playing in our AA player pitch league through league age 11 year old players.

🥎 Our Softball Fall Ball is open for any player who is in minors player pitch through league age 12 year olds.

🍁More details will be released as we get closer to the end of July. The leagues will start practicing in early August.🍂

🔥 It was a scorcher tonight in more ways than one! The temps were high, but look at that final score. Congrats to the FM 10U All Stars on a big 20-10 win tonight against JD. ⚾️ It was a true team effort on the field and at bat to get the victory.

Congrats to a few of our teams who have wrapped up their all star seasons! They battled, they learned a lot about themselves and how to play as a team, and in between all the reps and skills work, they had a lot of fun and formed friendships to last a lifetime! Congrats to the 10U and 12U Softball Teams and the 11U Baseball team. ⚾️ The two remaining teams are still on the road tonight! 10U Baseball is in Cicero at 6pm against Cicero, and 12U is headed to B’ville to play J-D, with first pitch at 6pm! Don’t miss your chance to cheer on these teams! 💚🤍

Last of our baseball teams, but certainly not least! Today we are introducing your FM 11U All Stars! They’ll kick off pool play Sunday at noon in Reeves Park, Baldwinsville, against Cicero. ⚾️ Show your support for the team as they attempt to make history! Let’s Go, FM! 💚🙌🏻
