Summer is the perfect time to reset. Here are 3 quick tips from our staff on staying balanced with school, work, and gaming.

Take Screen Breaks: Staring at a monitor for hours can drain your eyes and your energy. A quick 5‑minute break every hour helps you stay focused and feel better.

Move Your Body: A short walk, stretching, or even standing up for a few minutes can reset your brain. You don’t need a full workout — just a little movement goes a long way.

Stay Hydrated: It sounds simple, but most people don’t drink enough water. Hydration helps with focus, mood, and overall performance — in school and in gaming.

Did you know? The Mavericks Esports facility stays busy even in the summer, not with competitions, but with upgrades, maintenance, and planning for the year ahead. A lot of the work that makes our program run smoothly happens when campus is quiet.
