For those of you in the know, I wish I would have gotten the drive, but this was my second shot on the Par 4 hole 5 at Cat Hollow.

I threw a new Premier DD3 flick on the tee that landed in this perfect place. This shot was with an Inertia (9/5/-2/2) to drift far but to the right, setting me up my first birdie here that I may have ever gotten on this hole!

Also, summer is heating up- all of us boys (and ladies) could use head gear. I like bucket hats, but they don’t cover all my neck. Stacy got this thing for me that goes over my hat, covers ears and neck, and then I can always take it off! From Amazon, I think it was like 12 bucks and I have had it now for three seasons! Definitely worth the money! (And no I’m not sponsored, but if they want to we would be down!)

Week 1 for Hill Country Hyzers summer PDGA league in the books! Always good to throw with these guys!

My man Mark Geras shooting mad fire (over 900 rated!)

Stacy had (I counted :) 6 spit outs on the chains- she was NOT a happy camper, and I turned the “easiest” hole on “birdie lane” to a bogey, but regardless, always groovy vibes and always throwing funky lines!!!

Always good to grow throw with just the ladies! I love throwing with the boys, but this events are always so top notch!!

2 rounds in a day with temps hovering just above 90’s it was a hottie, but nothing to terrible for “pre-Austin” summer weather!

Ties after the first round, pulled it out at the end, it was a great day as I start to get warmed up to travel next month to Utah for Women’s!

Every time I get to this hole I have to take a picture. No filters, just a Sunday afternoon walking tirelessly around the beautiful park to get to this hole :)

Man what a whirlwind of exhaustion the past three days have been.

Upon reflection, this was the best tournament of 2026 for me to date, and that includes not one, but two missed doinks from 6 feet out during the last round which could have put me in a tie for third!

1st round - first ever ace in the air, on a 1 day old DD3 I literally bought on Thursday before throwing it in on Friday. AND starting that round +2 after three was NOT what I was looking for :)

2nd day at Sprinkle Valley- best ever tournament round there. On hole 18 I was literally 6 inches from a par, but landed in hazard and took a bogey (lots of others took 7’s, 8’s and 9’s!

3rd round @ Roy G. Started with three straight pars (excellent) and in the middle hit a rough stretch. Birdied a hole I have NEVER birdied when I needed it and finished with a par. I didn’t even know I was in top 4!

Going to take some much needed rest for a couple days to heal up, and start scouring for the next one. I did not anticipate placing that high, I believe I earned 90+ points, so a double win!!!

A day after throwing my hardest round (of maybe my life) getting out to walk 18 at my favorite course in Austin is always nice.

That being said, Roy G is NOT easy, lol and the walk and heat are LONG and HOT!

So far so good, we’ll see if I can keep it up and pick up some strokes!
