---- For Immediate Release---
Pro Vintage Racing wants its members to know your Board of Directors are still moving forward for the members of our club during this Covid-19 pandemic. The current board is using Zoom meetings to conduct business with the elimination of traveling. This allows us to conduct our normal club business activities, such as our annual meeting, voting for board members, general bylaws updates, and class rules discussion through our rules stewards. This will allow our club to be prepared for our upcoming race season.
The board has now instituted the use of Zoom for our meeting format. This allows us to have group discussions without the need to travel and meet in person. This allows all board members to participate, maintain safety, and help minimize individual and club expenses. The Zoom format allows the board to interact, debate issues, and provide our Secretary the ability to verify the meeting minutes to ensure accuracy and eliminate unintentional omissions through recorded information captured through Zoom recordings. Overall, we were pleased with how it worked, especially considering it was our first attempt at using it. This affords us the ability to meet more often, and share documents as needed in real time. The board also recognizes that our members want the ability to attend meetings and offer input/comments as they feel are needed. The use of Zoom will allow members to attend the meeting, and provide input. Members will be placed in “mute mode”, but will be able to participate through the use of a “raise hand” icon. The member will be unmuted, and will be able to address all those who are attending the meeting. We have the ability to host up to 300 members on Zoom for an unlimited amount of time. We believe this will be a great tool for the future of PVR.
Based upon the Board’s latest meeting, as a club we are unable to have our usual end of year banquet, awards ceremony, and election of board members. We are currently working together to reschedule our annual banquet, and are asking all current board members to hold their elected positions until such time that proper club elections can take place. Those interested in running for any board member position can contact Curtis Scott via email at [email protected].
Finally, we will need to contact all PVR class stewards where the review of individual class rules are concerned. These meetings can also be conducted using Zoom. Driving to meetings throughout the state will be a thing of the past, so more people can be involved if they choose to be.
Thank you and we hope you all are safe.

Sincerely,

Pro Vintage Racing Inc.
