It's Pikes Peak Marathon+Ascent week!

This weekend, runners will head to Manitou Springs for the and , and we know plenty of familiar Garden faces will be out there taking on the mountain.

The high school aid station energy was unmatched. 👏

Water? Yes.
Cheers? Absolutely.
Full high-five tunnel for runners coming through? Obviously.

One of our favorite parts of the Garden races is seeing local high school teams bring so much personality, energy, and encouragement to the course.

These are the moments that make runners smile when the hills are doing the most.

To every high school team that showed up for this year’s Garden races: thank you!

Back-to-school season has us thinking about the next generation of Garden runners. ❤️

One of our favorite parts of race weekend is seeing kids line up, take off, and run like the wind!

Some are sprinting from the start. Some are pacing like pros. Some are wondering why their grown-ups signed them up for this. And some are mostly here for the popsicles Heuberger Subaru brings.

And honestly? That’s the energy we should all be trying to bring into our miles.

Here’s to the young runners, the future racers, and every kid who reminds us that running can still be simple, fun, and full of heart!

The Garden of the Gods is obviously one of our favorite places in the Pikes Peak Region.

We’re so grateful for the chance to run through a place this beautiful, and even though our race only happens one day a year, the Garden is there year-round for runners, walkers, families, visitors, and anyone who needs a little time outside.

So we want to know: when is your favorite time to be in the Garden?

Sunrise? Summer evenings? Snowy mornings? Race day?

One of the best parts of race day is seeing local high school teams bring the energy, encouragement, and full race-morning spirit to the Garden.

This year, through the High School Aid Station Challenge, we donated more than $7,500 back to local high school programs!

Congratulations to The Classical Academy, this year’s Aid Station Challenge winner, earning $1,350! Their 80s-themed aid station brought plenty of energy, color, and fun to the course. 🎸

A huge thank you to all of the teams who showed up for runners:
2nd Place: Palmer Ridge HS — $1,275
3rd Place: Discovery Canyon HS — $1,250
4th Place: Woodland Park HS — $1,225
Cheyenne Mountain HS, Trail Course Marshals — $1,225
Mesa Ridge HS, Base Support — $1,225

We’re also proud to share that the race donated $4,230 to the Parks Department, helping support the place that makes this race morning so special.

Thank you to every team who showed up and every runner who voted. We’re grateful to give back to the teams who give so much to race day.

To every volunteer who gave time, energy, patience, and encouragement to the 50th running of the Garden Races — thank you from the bottom of our hearts! This race would not happen without you, and we are truly grateful for everything. We hope to see you back next year for another awesome race day.

Race day is full of big moments, but some of our favorites are the ones happening around the edges.

Volunteers and sponsors showing up before sunrise. Runners finding their friends after the finish. Families cheering from the sidelines. Our ops team working hard behind the scenes to make sure we left Rock Ledge Ranch the way we found it.

The 50th running gave us a lot to remember, and so many of those moments happened because of the people who showed up, pitched in, and helped make the morning what it was.

We’re grateful for every single one of you.

You didn’t just run a race. You ran the 50th!

The 2026 were more than another start line, another finish line, or another morning of miles through Garden of the Gods. This year, every runner became part of a milestone that has been 50 years in the making.

Whether you raced the 10 Mile, 10K Road, 10K Trail, Youth Classic, or Kids Races, you helped add another chapter to this event’s history.

We hope you’re still proud of what you did out there. Because this one was special.
