Share the pain with your friends, your spouse, your co-workers or even an arch-nemesis! Next week July 22nd-26th bring a friend and they will train for free with you! For our former clients that miss the pain, you can also come get a workout in with us for free! The Importance of Pre and Post Workout Nutrition

Eating a pre-workout and post-workout meal is very critical to reaching your desired fitness goals. Making sure to fuel your body prior to your intense workout with us at Shape Plus can assure you better workouts and better results!

For a pre-workout meal I suggest eating this approximately one hour before, fueling your body with carbohydrates to keep your energy levels up and reduce the feeling of being faint. Keep protein high with this meal and if you choose to have any fats incorporated, keep them to a minimum as they slow the absorption rate of other nutrients into the body.

Eating a post-workout meal within 1 hour after training will help replenish and begin the repairing process of the muscles. Having high protein with this meal is the most important factor. Protein shakes are optimal for this as they digest easy and can be absorbed even faster!

I’ve always thought about getting a personal trainer but always had excuses of it being too expensive or not thinking I could ever look like the fit girls I envied over. The second I walked into Shape Plus, everyone greeted me with smiles and positivity.

Jess brought me into the office and talked to me with the bluntness that I had always needed to hear, and the prices were actually so much better than I what I’d heard from other places. I could feel how excited he was for me, making me feel at home on my first day.

I met with my personal trainer James, who listened to exactly my goals and made me feel very comfortable. James made a meal plan that was perfect for me, and as the weeks went on, he held me accountable and made sure I was happy with where I was at.
