Hang on gang...this is going to be a long one!
Well, it is officially time for this amazing group of young women to hang up their Nook Volleyball jerseys. 😢
We originally had planned for one more tournament, but several of the girls are banged up after the last one, and, in the best interest in their health, it has been decided that last weekend was their final competition.
I want to thank you all for following our team volleyball journey over the years and hope that you enjoyed the ride as much as we did!
A few people I would like to recognize...
Coach Lisa: How can we ever thank you for everything you have done for this group! There have been ups and downs over the last few seasons, but one thing that never changed is your unwavering support and dedication to the team and the girls! For this, we are eternally grateful!
Coach Dan: Thank you! You pushed the girls to be their best, cheered them on, and offered them guidance when needed. We were blessed to have you on the staff this year and greatly appreciate all you have done.
Coach Liz: Even though you had your own team this year and we didn't have you on our sidelines, we must thank you for your dedication as well! What would the girls have done without the Glizzy Poppins Bag of Tricks! 😂 Any time the girls needed band aids, scissors, tissues, medication, etc, etc, etc, Liz always had it!
Libby: To the Best Club Director in Central PA! Thank you for everything! It has been an honor to play for Spooky Nook Volleyball.
To the Players: I think you saved the best for last! This team has been an absolute joy to watch this year. The love you have for your teammates was strong and it showed every time you stepped on the court. It has been a pleasure watching each of you grow over the years as athletes and young women. I know that I will miss each and every one of you!
And last, but definitely not least, to the Parents: You guys are the absolutely amazing! Thank you for your endless support. From PA to Florida and just about every state in between, you have been there! Early mornings, late nights, terrible refs (no yelling Eric!), lots of laughs, cheers of victory and tears of defeat, you have been there through it all. It has been a pleasure getting to know each and every one of you!
As the girls move on to the next chapters in their lives, I wish each of them the best of luck and will forever cherish the time with our !
Emily :)
