2023 World Champion and 2024 Olympian, Zain Retherford, chose to focus on family and coaching the Nittany Lion Wrestling Club the past two years. A couple months ago he decided to return to competition. He won 5 matches over NCAA Champions over the last 6 weeks and made our World Team today. Zain keeps writing new chapters in his book of achievements.

FINAL X is the World Team Trials Finals. Best 2 out of 3 and the winner makes Team USA for the 2026 World Championships.

70: Zain Retherford v. Ridge Lovett
79: Levi Haines v. Chance Marsteller

Round 1 is 2pm est on Flo. Round 2 is 5pm.
Women are wrestling side by side. Two of my favorites to watch, Kylie Welker and Kennedy Blades, have postponed matches due to injuries. Olympians Helen Maroulis and Kayla Miracle are in action!

2025 World Champion, Trent Hidlay, already made the World Team with an early Final X wrestle-off last week. He gets married tomorrow.

Dave Schultz often said that the best wrestler today is the one who “dictates the tempo and controls the ties”.

Of course finishing attacks and chain wrestling are critical too, and these two cats can do it all.

PSA - Final X is on Flo live today. Schedule is below. Lots of Penn State wrestlers, graduates and Nittany Lion Wrestling Club Wrestlers are battling for spots on our 2026 World Team!

Let’s go USA! With 2027 Worlds in Vegas and 2028 Olympics in USA, it is exciting times for our sport. Plus we also have pro wrestling both CLAW and RAF. Two of the World Champions from my youth club - Zain Retherford and Trent Hidlay signed RAF contracts. Zain was undefeated last season in CLAW too.

Justin Gaethe was a DI NCAA All-American. After college he worked his way into highest levels of UFC. He has perfected his style
over time. He has a big gas tank and warriors heart. His win in Sundays UFC fight at the White House was an exciting competitive battle. Here are the edited highlights from UFC site. Enjoy.
